Monday 12th Strange NESO is asking for upwards this evening , Zones 1,2,3 I guess there is a surplus of gen for Scotland.
I would have thought based on todays prices they would have asked for savings?

I Must have read it wrong but Octopus are Z6-12 205/MWH 1800-1900
No They put another request later, so Octopus didn"t go for upwards in Z1,2,3 but the 👇 (i.e. savings) was Zones 6-12.
Sorry Scots and the north / nw

I have more sessions than I can use but still opted in on the small hope they might add another Sunday.

Just to checking my thinking - if you successfully opt in and reduce usage, there are two benefits: 1) small credit via Octopoints, and b) ability to combine two sessions into some free weekend hours of electricity?
So even if I can't eventually use the free hours (particuarly given how long it takes for Octopus to calculate them, and given there's only 2 more Sundays), there is still a minor benefit from opting in?
I already have 2 free hours still to use up. Eventually I may run out of things to do with the free hours (no electric car, battery etc etc). Such problems are not a hardship though.

Yes, although I believe there are 3 Sundays left to use them.
Emersion heaters, electric heaters, electric showers, cooking, washing, dishwasher, all good things if you can shift in to the slot.

Ah yes, you're right. I had assumed it was end of October, didn't want to scroll back through lots of pages to find the discussion about it, and have just looked to see that 1 November is included. I'm away then but a useful reminder for anyone else who may have misremembered like me!

@Yorkie1 I use mine for dishwasher, washing cooking the sunday lunch in the main oven, descale the kettle, ironing (not a lot I hate it). Basically I do things that I would normally do but get them all on the go together. On the 2 hours I have used I got 67p and 71 p. I also have 2x2 hour slots that Octopus haven't yet credited me for. It's not a lot but you would normally pay for doing those things at other times. Unfortunately for me I have solar, and Sundays thus far had SUN-days. This last weekend my 2 hours I used 6.4 kWh from the grid, but that would have been nearly 12 but for the sun.

Total mess today NESO was asking for upwards Z1-3 from late morning to c1500 and then downwards from 1600 onwards for zones 6-12.
The rub is Octopus bid for upwards on Z1-3 in the evening and nothing for the downwards , probably finger trouble or like me can't bluddy read 🤣
