There's the option to opt in on the app, but it doesn't actually say what they're paying as far as I can see.
    Email says
During the hour, you'll get 104 Octopoints for every unit of electricity you save compared to normal. This will be added to your account within 14 days.

I wasn't going to bother as I only got a couple of pennies the last two sessions, with everything turned off. But I won a quid on the Wheel of Fortune, so I'm feeling magnanimous.

I won £1 too- and I almost never win anything on there! Last time I won £1 was when they had messed me about and I always thought it was something they could ‘influence’ as a result!?!

I got a quid the first time I ever had a spin, I'm fairly certain this is the second one in nearly 4 years.

So for any meaningful saving would mean a total shutdown. No way going to do that. Mrs would kill me 😶‍🌫️
In the early days it might have been worth the risk. Nowadays it is like picking up pennies in front of a steam roller.

    Hmmm
At least your actions were deliberate!
I was having a stressful day yesterday & when the email arrived I simply clicked to opt in. Rearranged dinner plans so I used electric oven 18.00-18.45 last night instead of tonight. DUH🤯
