I have problems with my solar , when it’s sunny, I am normally exporting 1-2 kWh meaning my base is minus to start with, ok I will get 30p / kWh for export but then need to top up the battery earlier than normal at 23p. Plus we will need to cook then since we have a hospital visit between 2-6 pm, a takeaway will outweigh the savings.
I am annoyed that they(Octopus) never bid for the 1900-2100 slots.

Opted in but my solar is likely to cover my "baseload", so no action required. Solar probably covered me on the reference day, too, so no points for me, I suspect. Still, it's the thought that counts!

Can I ask how you get 30p export please ? Best I can think of is 15p+10p=25p. With system losses and such like it's not even worth trying any more I'm afraid, much like last year. I'm out ;)

I've switched to the slightly cheaper Collective BG tariff, but had given up on these saving slots anyway. BG have half price sessions every Sunday from 11am to 4pm. Will save more on that and you can plan your schedule around it. Time for 1 or 2 washing machine cycles and a full eco dishwasher cycle.
    Much more sensible.  :)

GBH, saving sessions to most are a waste of time.

Over average usage over the last month bill is 1kWh in that period

So for any meaningful saving would mean a total shutdown. No way going to do that. Mrs would kill me 😶‍🌫️
