Well, I have flown today.
Two loads in the WM and then on the line. Didn't quite dry so it's all squished onto an airer in front of the fire (not right up close - the other side of the room) to finish off.
I got all the books off the bookcase, Dysoned up all the fluff and cobwebs that were behind it. Wiped and dusted each book and put them all back again. Have about four that I will never use so they can go on the local freecycle group tomoz. I'll put them on as a bundle that must go together to save faffing about with individual pictures.
Mr T delivered (it was one of the lovely drivers today) so that's all been put away. Strangely, they were completely out of tomatoes. I also forgot to order jam. I think I might take a trip out to a local express store in the morning to see if they have tomatoes and to get jam (I have the urge for scones - managed to order the clotted cream!).
Now off to put my feet up for a bit before sorting dinner.
Have a lovely evening peeps.I am the leading lady in the movie of my life

Oh it's lovely to see the thread busy again.
I've survived another day at work - halfway through the week now. I'm home, changed into my scruffs, unpacked my lunch bag and emptied LR and kitchen bin, replacing with new bin bags ...flying so that I could post 😇
You really are the most amazing group of people. ❤

Dinner scoffed!! Yum
Washing on and bank account switched for £175, in time for Christmas.
In PJ's now, in front of telly. It was one of those days in school today, muddy Wednesday, bleurgh, then teeth brushing, P.E. and maths in the afternoon....fun, fun, fun.... not!!!
Anyway, hopefully it was a one off...the teacher was in another school with a group of Yr6 children.
Hugs to all in need and hope you enjoy( ed ) Your meal our PigPen x Glad you had the nice delivery driver, soappie xx9 -
well…getting up at 6 o’clock took some effort, but we’ve been and all was well, though the traffic was a challenge.
I agree with Round…lovely to see a busy thread.

Have a lovely evening peeps. It's amazing how dusty books get. I still have plenty of books but I'm so pleased I no longer have CDs. I stored them in racks but both they, and the racks, got terribly dusty and it was a real pain to take each one out and dust them individually, and then the rack. Not that I did it very often. This morning I went to the supermarket and a couple of local shops to get the last few things for the lunch with our friends tomorrow. I am making pork and apple casserole; hope it's nice. Made lunch and washed up the breakfast and lunch dishes. As one of the people who is coming tomorrow had a birthday last week, after lunch I made a belated birthday cake (lime and coconut drizzle).Spoke to a friend on the phone, helped A with some stair exercises, made supper and washed up and then rang an elderly friend in Plymouth. In just over an hour it will be time to do the pre-bedtime eye medication routine and then I hope to get an early-ish night as I need to be up betimes to prepare lunch but also to do the pre-visitor housework that I intended to do today but didn't.10 -

I've never been one for CDs... although I do have about 20 from the mid-late 1990s but have nothing to play them on anymore!
But books are my serious weakness. The book shelf unit in the kitchen that I sorted out today holds around 70 recipe/foody type books which were all tended to individually and lovingly.
I have another two book store areas in my home. One is in one of my two hallways. There are three long shelves in that area crammed with books - two deep at least on the shelves so probably 200 books there. Then there's my spare room which has two tall bookcases crammed full of another swathe of 300 books at least.
And yes, I've read them all! At least once!
But I am at the age now where I am empathising with the 'Swedish death cleaning' philosophy and need to sit back and think what is the best way of decluttering them all ...

Washing in TD, the airer is in the dining room and it is such a mess in there,I can only get to the top of it!!! It is one of two rooms of doom on my to do list (the other one is worse!!!)

So....my first day back as a Flylady was not very productive and the only big task I can claim was that I scrubbed the kitchen floor. And I mean, scrubbed it. Got my wooshy-wooshy floor machine out and spent 20 minutes giving the flagstones a real going over, then used my wet/dry industrial trash vacuum to suck up all the truly manky water. Tipping that water out made me realise just how neglected the floors in my house are...ugh, I'm such a minger! Then the puppies got out and pee'd all over it, so that was great.
Had baked ham and H/M wedges for dinner with fried eggs for all the boys, which seemed to go down well and enough cold meat left over for sandwiches tomorrow. Think I might do a Shepherd's pie tomorrow. That made me remember when I used to tease Tiny about it containing real shepherds, much to his horror
WM and TD both run this evening and three bin bags of unwanted old bedding, dog bags and duvets ready to go into the work skip tomorrow. There doesn't seem to be any clear space after bagging this all up, which indicates I may have a lot more to do.
Hugs to all...TTFN x9 -
Oooh, Dizzy, I need something like that for my wooden floors, I'm sure they're even more minging!!!
I have bought the Makaton signs for " We wish you a Merry Christmas " song, just need to rearrange the signs to use in Welsh!!! I do love certain aspects of the job x Just wish there was more continuity through the school and less pressure and workload on the less qualified/ paid staff!!
Rant over xx10 -
Good morning all xx
I'm up, made my bed, dressed, packed my lunch, eaten breakfast and I'm supping my brew. One day I'll surprise you and do them in a different order 🙃. Not sure what that would do to my autopilot and love of routine though...so maybe not.
I'll feed the birds and put out the rubbish and recycling before I trot / trudge down the highway.
piggers - I've just remembered to say that the Advent calendars I bought in Mr Al were £1.49 each and made by Cadbury, so proper chocolate. If that helps.
Fayolle - thinking about you trudging down the highway after your break. And breathe...
Wishing you all a peaceful day
