Moneywise all ok, parent borrowed £60 which makes the figures a bit confusing but once I get it back I will send half to savings and half to interest bearing card.

    Personal account - £286 (£60)

    Week 1 - £46 remaining
    Week 2 - £86 (£14)
    Week 3 - £100
    Week 4 - £100

    Food shop - £310

    Week 1 - £91.86
    Week 2 - £100
    Week 3 - £100
    Week 4 - £100

Mental health wise a very low day and low mood, perhaps the weather not helping. Also had a bad end to working week with some negative feedback from my manager.

But I have walked the dog today and hoping to recover mentally enough over the weekend, that I can attend work event on Monday.  One positive thing is I’ve tried an old dress and it fit well and looks flattering! So don’t need to buy new.

Sorry to hear you are struggling and having up and down days.

I don't think work from home is good in that sense. If you have to go into the office then you are forced into the daily routine of getting up, getting washed, dressed and presentable and then having the social interaction through the day.

As much as I loved working from home during Covid I am glad to be back in the office now. It provides some structure to the week.

You weekly budget seems to be working for you now.

The weather isn’t helping, I know my sister has kept using her SAD lamp as it’s not bern ‘nice’ enough to have an impact.

  • Hi @DFB35, glad you came back after your blip! I think you need your medication reviewing, Sertraline is an SSRI, which can in some people cause serotonin syndrome- there are other anti depressants which are great and not in this family. You may find something in the other family much more beneficial without a mania, also would be good to check that you don't have another mental health issue apart from anxiety/depression. Huge apologies if you already know this/ there is another underlying mental health issue and I missed it!

Sounds like you are getting on top of things, looking forward to keeping up to date!

Hi @Aimingforthegoodlife thank very much for your comment I really appreciate it. I need to try and get it sorted with my GP, but last time I spoke to them they told me off for coming off them without their approval and now im avoiding speaking to them, so childish I know.
I have been wondering if I have bi polar as even before the setraline meds I have been up and down in a cycle. But I also have bad anxiety and setraline really helped me a lot. But yes you are very right I need to gather myself and speak to GP and stop self medicating/ adjusting the meds myself.

I have managed to hold on to £70 from last weeks budgets! So I’m sending £50 to savings and £19.09 to make a nice round number on Amex.

    Starting week 3 tomorrow.

    Personal account - £201

    Week 1 - £0
    Week 2 - £0
    Week 3 - £100
    Week 4 - £100

    Food shop - £197

    Week 1 - £91.86
    Week 2 - £113
    Week 3 - £97
    Week 4 - £100
  • @DFB35 it is easy for me to post the advice, I totally get how hard it is to actually follow through! Mental health is so tricky and it can be hard to find a good GP who recognises what is going on, then finding a good community team who will follow on with it! Sertraline does work so well for many people, though other meds would be good for anxiety too, just to reassure! I know propanolol can be really beneficial for managing the physical symptoms of anxiety, if another anti depressant may be more beneficial for mood. It just makes life so much harder when your brain chemicals work against you!

Fab work on having leftovers from the budget
