The facts are that in the Out-of-date bins over 80% of the people who regualrly dip in there are non-white.

How you interpret that comment is up to you.
i can only assume this is a joke - do we have a 'most ridiculous post of the month award' on here?

Got 7 chciken breast meal (2xbreasts in garic wine dressing) for 30p each reduced from 2.99 each.

Excellent value from the "whoops" bins.

well said, sazzywoo! you beat me to it. it's always funny when people invent 'facts' out of thin air. apparently 32.456% of them are utter rubbish...

I like seeing what's in the discounted bit.

Luckily people at my local Sainsbury's dont hover around it, so it's easy enough to find what I want, if I want anything from there.
Though I never buy anything I don't need/won't use, and rarely more than 1 of anything. :)

I like going to the Spar, too, cause there's never anyone in there when I go (about 9.30pm) so I get a good look in :) though unfortunately they never reduce anything past 50% off, and I'm always too scared to ask :o cause I have no idea what the rules are in Spar.

Local Waitrose is great fun around 6:30 when the reductions start in earnest - lots of good bargains, no pestering of the assistants but always several Henry and Henriettas (and it has to be said MrWibbles from time to time) crowding round rootling for 19p packs of ham or 30p loaves - same instincts as Wayne and Waynetta down the local Coop !

By the way if you wonder why people buy near OOD bread in quantity - the answer is toast ! I buy virtually all of my bread / muffins (apart from when MrsWibble wants some Kingsmill Gold) as 30p loaves from Waitrose - always decent quality ...

i don't recall saying i was offended  do you make a habit of making ill-informed posts?

i picked up on your quote because i was interested to know where you sourced your 'fact' from.

apologies to everyone else for taking this topic back off track
