I think the man with the yellow stickers should ration out the food according to the ethnic origins of the laggers surrounding him.jonathonjordan wrote: »Can the mods move this thread to discussion please - its going on too much now !!!!

I don't think any of them have been checking this board for days judging by the number of recent threads that are in the wrong place :rolleyes:0 -

i gave her one of my free tesco gammons today, made her and my christmas
BL**DY H*LL!!! Do you know my dad???
That is exactly what he does! He went off to Tesco and Asda and cleaned them out off reduced bargains only to bring them to my house and try and cram them in the fridge and freezer. Imagine my suprise when i came to open the fridge :-(0)"I think I spent 72.75% of my life last year in the office. I need a new job!!"0 -
and back on topic.....
Anyone care to share when is best for the pre/post nye bargains? I'm thinking whole salmon etc0 -
I have come to blows in tesco in the discount section and am so glad to see its not just me that has this issue. I popped in after work one day and what could only be described as Wayne and Waynetta Slob were tactically using their trolley to stop anyone getting near the reduced items.
I know it sounds strange but it was like a comedy show - she was all over the stuff and he was using his trolley and body to prevent anyone else getting close enough to see or take any items until she had had a good rummage.
I just moved his trolley out the way and boy did waynetta go mad. Asking me what right I had to move her trolley and I should wait my turn. I just told her that she could have all the value stuff and I would stick to Tesco finest. Snobby I know but it shut her up.
I suggest they reduce the goods at the point they are originally sold. ie milk in the milk aisle. Putting everything in one place will only attract the vultures.0 -
I do look for the reduced items in supermarkets, like a good m.s.e. should but I find in some supermarkets, that foods items that are chilled and have been left at tills for a while end up back on sale, which of course is naughty.
Overall I tend to do the majority of my grocery shopping online, as it works out much cheaper, because
A) You don't have to spend hours wandering round the store after they do the periodic swap of shelves.
I don't spend my petrol (1 delivery van has to be more enviromentally friendly, than 20 cars.)
C) I don't get side tracked by all the pretty boxes and special offers for junk I would never want in a million years, but it is this weeks special for 99p...
D) I can find all the free delivery and moneyoff codes on here!My Mind wanders, if found please return.0 -
The facts are that in the Out-of-date bins over 80% of the people who regualrly dip in there are non-white.
Gosh, what a thoroughly well researched and proven comment. Thanks for writing something incendiary on an already overheated thread with no evidence to back up your claim whatsoever. :rolleyes:Another thing which is very rude, don't use your mobile phone at the checkout. The checkout girl wants your full attention when she asks for the money.
Yes, and another thing that's rude is to assume all cashiers are 'girls' - some, I'm quite sure are male and others most definitely women....I just moved his trolley out the way and boy did waynetta go mad. Asking me what right I had to move her trolley and I should wait my turn. I just told her that she could have all the value stuff and I would stick to Tesco finest...
And that's the best put-down I've heard in a while... I shall try to remember it! :rotfl:0
