Lebara switch - where is £40?

I changed to Lebara in mid September through MSE - my monthly plan is £6.90 and the offer included a £40 voucher (I think for Amazon). I am happy with Lebara and the plan - but have not had the £40 nor can I find evidence of this in the email that confirms my purchase. Can anyone advise the best way to chase this up? The plan reference is Monthly plan £6.90 MSE.

  • Just watch Lebara  - they are cute.
    I have a MSE special with them x2 at £3.90 a month for many years. They had 'issues being paid by my bank' recently which was rubbish - and they disconnected me , so having to pay more when I was reconnected.

    This happened with both accounts - with separate bank accounts so they are 'at it' .........

    I've been with Lebara for about 18 months now and no problems and they have very low cost contracts for low users such as myself. It's a rolling contract too, which is good; not that I wish to switch as it hasn't gone up in price, unlike pretty much every other company who increase the monthly payment by inflation +x% every year.

    I changed to Lebara in June this year. The offer via the MSE link included a £45 gift voucher. I had to register at the time to enable this. I've just looked up the details in a Lebara email, and there is a 180 day wait time before the voucher will be processed. I assume yours will be much the same.

    I would be interested to know if anyone has actually received a voucher!

    I agree with this. There have been lots of reports of this happening and it happened to me earlier in the year. 
  • My £45 hasn't turned up as yet. I spoke to them on chat and was told MSE sold it me so it's their problem or Giftcloud problem. I informed MSE and to my surprise they also told me to chase it up myself with lebara and Giftcloud. Waste of time MSE. By the way the £45 voucher in June said "within 6 months" not 180 days. I copied it at the time. 

    You must claim the £45 Amazon, M&S, Argos or Just Eat voucher.
    You'll receive an email from Giftcloud within six months explaining how to claim it.
    It's a one-month Sim, but to help you compare, the equivalent cost is calculated over a 12-month period

    Bought mine in June with the £45 voucher offer that was the deal at that time. Spoke to Lebara asking about my £45 voucher who told me and i quote:

     "Well, I wish to inform you that you got this deal from MSE becasue you bought a Lebara sim from them". meaning it's MSE's problem. 

  • I have been waiting for my £40 MSE Lebara gift to arrive, which should have occurred by the 24th Dec. I got an email today from them and claimed my reward card. All good.

    Thanks for the warning, I had signed up to the MSE offer today but when I got email from GiftCloud it said 

    "Once your purchase has been verified by Lebara you will receive your gift card within 180 days days."

    So I will cancel it tomorrow under Consumer Contracts Regulations 14 day rules, I will get the 15gb 99p a month option for 6 months.

    as for who to contact, are they nuts, after 210 days (yes TWO HUNDRED AND TEN DAYS)!!!!
