I've just noticed Bath BS have opened up their Instant ISA and Instant Access account up to all UK residents, both of which can be opened with £1. Most of Bath BS's products are restricted to people who live, work or study in Bath or are existing Bath BS members with 12 months continuous membership so it could be worth seizing on the opportunity to ``get a foot in the door" so to speak.
Also with the new ISA rules coming into effect next week there are a couple of building societies which have cash ISAs that can be opened by all with £1 whilst their non-ISA accounts have higher minimum balances, these include Mansfield BS and Harpenden BS. There may be others this applies to but I can't think of them off the top of my head.10 -
Am I missing something or is the Ulster loyalty saver @ 5.2% a better easy access if you have £5000 or more than any of the ones listed on https://www.moneysavingexpert.com/savings/savings-accounts-best-interest/
https://www.ulsterbank.co.uk/savings/easy-access-account.html
I must be missing something or is the mse page just not listing it for whatever reason0 -

Aha yes, that is accurate thanks. I already have the santander edge saver, and I dont qualify for the skipton one. I would suggest to MSE this ulster one ranks above cahoot due to the lack of a max deposit, although of course you dont get the good rate at ulster unless you have £5000+. Also noted that two of you dont think the MSE page is the best source to find which are the top accounts available thanks.0 -
