Sadly, it doesn't sound like they coped well and stated the points relevant to the defence. Maybe they froze (I'm not blaming them; court makes your nerves jangle).
Thing is, there's no point appealing the decision, as that costs hundreds and - if leave to appeal was granted - would require a hearing in front of an even more out of touch Judge.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
