Love your story @siju
I always feel slightly better when I know I’m not the only one who gets insulted!

I'm feeling slightly like this update isn't quite worth the admin, but a little shiny 20 pence I found under the bed has been deposited this morning.
My husband asked me for a £1 to tip his takeaway driver last night. He was looking right at my box...

A very good morning SPCers! Enjoy your new working and potting week. I hope you all had a fantastic weekend! Keep so very safe everyone as there are unhealthy issues doing the rounds, including Covid 😡, a new variant of Flu, which we've hopefully had the vaccine for, plus there are other respiratory issues looking out for us all!! 👹Thanks for the giggle Ant. 😂 I'll believe your sad excuse as you put it, though me great?! 😵💫 Nah, got the wrong person. As Siju rightly says kids can be a bit brutal at times! I'm sure in your case you're daughter didn't mean it quite that way, perhaps more like handsome as she doesn't see you in a suit often?! Maybe we'll move on from that. 😉Excellent potting, and little and often is so very much more than nowt. I don't doubt that you've a fair amount by now!Brilliant Makingaboro2, at least you've saved which is most important! Thanks so much for putting your SPC No on your signature. What a comment from your DS, Siju!!😂 Good for you in keeping the wallpaper for a good time, I bet you and your DH had a laugh about it on the quiet!! 😂I can't think of any gentle insults from our two at the moment, but one sweet, but naughty thing our DS did and I'll never forget was when he came home from school with a bunch of Daffodils. I asked wherever he'd got them from, "They were at the edge of someone's garden and I knew you'd love them!!" 😯 I just had to gently tell him that you just don't do things like that, but I couldn't help but shed a tear at his thoughtfulness, bless him.He must have a thing about Daffodils and thoughtfulness though. Before T and I went to bed each night we always used to check in on them both; but one night when he was about 3 or 4 he was out of the bed and partly underneath it! A bit fearful I gently woke him "I was picking Daffodils for you mum!" He was so upset that none were in his hand. I assured him he was dreaming, comforted him and popped him back in bed and thanked him for his thoughts. Another teary moment at the loveliness of it. 😥I wonder how many bunches of flowers he picks for his wife! 😂Our DGD told us all they were going to call her Rosie, but in hospital she came up with the name Talulah but they'd possibly shorten it to Lulu! There are other Talulah's apparently, but best to stick to one or the other, we'll see!DGD received little one's notes from Bristol today. Talulah didn't breathe for 7 minutes after she was born!! 😯They hadn't been told prior to receiving the notes thank goodness! 😵💫During the pregnancy she (baby) also developed Hydrops Fetalis causing severe and extensive fluid which affects Baby's thorax or hearts, especially the heart and lungs - clearly why she needed the echocardiogram.Or it can be around the abdomen. It would appear their little treasure is obviously going to be a fighter, thank God! 🙏DGD's very disappointed at not breastfeeding her naturally as she did their DS. I wonder if she expressed her milk to keep the flow going until the 3/6 months were up because it would at least give her the immunity she needed as well as the bonding. Fingers 🤞.I always regret not being able to feed our two, but due to the epilepsy drugs which were even worse back them, it made them quite ill. At least DD fed their 5 as well as our elder DGD with their 3 and elder DGS's partner with their 4 month old daughter and their 2 elder daughters.Any amount is worth adding to the thread CDM79! 😀 20p is still 20p saved rather than possibly wasted! Not sure I like your DH's idea of your SPC potting funding a takeaway driver!! 😯 tut tut tut!! 😡 Seal it up and hide it telling him your pot is only for putting in, not taking out and that you're saving for Christmas or whatever!!🤨 Why not suggest he gets his own pot for sundries!! 🤭Brilliant work Milko! 😀Excellent work PurplePhoenix62!!Fantastic work LMD you do so well with them!Very well potted Ant!!Sue,The end date for SPC is on the 24th October 2024 - but no later, please!Anyone wishing to join us, please just ask and you'll be made very welcomeSealed Pot Challenge 001 My Totals = 08 = £163.95 09 = £315.78 10 = £518.80 11 = £481.87 12 = £694.53 13 = £1200.20! 14 = £881 15 = £839.21 16 = £870.48 17 = £871.52 18 = £800.00 19 = £851.022021=£820.26[/SizeGrand Totals of all members (2008 uncounted) 2009 = £32.154.32! 2010 = £37.581.47! 2011 = £42.474.34! 2012 = £49.759.46! 2013 = £50.642.78! 2014 = £61.367.88!! 2015 = £52.852.06! 2016 = £52, 002.40!! 2017 = £50,456.23!! 2018 = £47, 815.88! 2019 = £38.538.37!!!! :j3

What a sweet memory of your DS @Sue-UU 💕 I love looking back at photos of our two when they were little and remembering the things they did. Talulah is a beautiful name for a little girl with a fighting spirit 😍
