Happy Monday frugal people!
I had a very nice, very cheap weekend!
Friday BF and his daughter came over - bf bought pizzas to cook and then just chilled out at mine. Then Saturday I decided to go to that local festival thing but drive - gave friend's a lift, who then bought my drinks all day and I managed to get a free ticket to the main event (another friend decided not to go so sent me her ticket). Pleased I hadn't bought one as we only ended up going to that bit about 9pm and it was a bit rubbish so only stayed an hour! So the only money I spent was on some plasters as a precautionary measure as I wore my Dr Marten sandals that had previously eaten my feet!!! Then Sunday went to a local park with bf, kids, his sister and her kids - bf had made a picnic, so zero pennies spent!
Velux window was collected on Saturday, so that's good and has cleared a good bit of space. Hopefully someone is picking up the toaster today as I have left out for them (although I'm not holding my breath!). Did have a couple of inquiries on some of the other bits but no takers yet! I have found some other bits that I need to make decisions on how best to get rid of - probably offer for free.
Right, on to today...- Make lunch to take to work
- Leave toaster out and hope it gets collected
- Make CC payment now statement has come in
- Update spreadsheet
- Do some crochet at lunch - having to be a bit creative with colours as using up some scraps
- Pop to town on way home from work - will park for free as only whizzing in for 1 thing
- Quick dinner from stores
- Possibly get a lift with friend to event we're going to tonight - if not it's only about 5 mins from my house so not a big deal

Funny development for you...
Ex texted yesterday asking to come and collect some post - I have lots turn up for him and just shove it on the side. Well I looked and could feel that there was a bank card in there, obviously why he was suddenly bothered about getting it! So I told him I would be home between 6-7 for him to grab it all. He then texted me at about 5 asking me to leave it on the doorstep! So after all he did, I managed to be civil and allow him to continue to live there but when I put my foot down re money he can't even face me for 30 seconds!!! What a ****! (Insert expletive of your choosing!)
It really made me laugh although I was grateful that it meant I didn't have to see him!Debt as at 5 June 2023 - £15,600.89

Anyway onto other things...
Went to a medium night last night with a friend - was interesting although felt rejected that no ghosts wanted to chat to me! (I'm on the fence if I buy into mediums etc!) However, it was a nice night with my friend - bought the tickets a couple of weeks ago and spent £3 on a drink for us both.
Oh my neighbour asked the other day if I could leave my side gate open for some guys who are fixing his guttering. My response was - of course, but I'm confused why they need access to my garden. Well whilst they're doing his side, apparently they are also replacing the brackets on my side and had fixed an issue where part of my guttering had dropped at the front! Apparently it's today that they're coming so that's good!!! I did say to my neighbour to let me know if he wanted any money for the brackets on my side out of politeness!
Today's bits and bobs...- Make lunch to take to work
- Leave toaster out to be collected
- Update spreadsheet
- Message someone to see if they can collect the bed on Thursday - although they may now want to haggle the price!
- Do some crochet at lunch
- Pop to Aldi on my way home a couple of bits
- Snap receipt
- Cook dinner for me and bf

Write 'Not at this address, return to sender' on any mail for him and pop it back in the postbox. You're not his secretary and as @Floss says, he's being fraudulent- and it's your address on official files for anything dodgy or unpaid2

I read about his post & immediately thought as PIP. It isn't illegal to open post that comes through your letterbox even if not addressed to you.. Is there anything he can forge your signature on. You are much nicer than me - I would have shredded his card.

Yes, that's definitely an option. I have done it myself with a troublesome former resident. Just write clearly on the envelopes, "no longer at this address" & drop them into any postbox, bank card letters, the lot. You really don't want to be the official listed address for his financial mail.

Bf came round last night and I cooked lasagna - I did have to get a few bits from the shop so not a NSD but not a spendy day! The people didn't come to fix neighbours guttering but are apparently coming today. However, the person did come to collect the toaster so that's gone - I've now offered something else for free on FB which has a list of people wanting it, so need to arrange a time to collect. It's good to slowly get some of the clutter out of my house but to people who want it!
Today I have/will:- Wash towels on 30 degree quick wash
- Hang towels on airer to dry - although will give a quick tumble later to soften them slightly
- Took some chicken breasts out of the freezer
- Take left over lasagna to work for lunch
- Update spreadsheet
- List items on FB - also lowered price of the bed as I want rid! May also decide to list other items for free (only up for £10/£5 anyway)
- Snap yesterday's receipt
- Look into zipzero as now reached the payout threshold
- Quick dinner before acro
- Pay lowest amount for acro (it's a sliding scale)
