    Thank you @PennysIntoPounds and @Floss

I worked out yesterday how far I've come with my finances in the past year since the split.

Whilst I have "only" cleared just under £4,300 worth of debt, if I add in what I have spent on the house and what I have saved in non-allocated savings (i.e. not sinking funds so my emergency fund and my current misc savings) it totals...

    £8,500!!!!

Wow!!! That makes me feel really proud! I would have liked/ hoped to have cleared more debt but now I can see why I haven't! Obviously the EF and house spends are one-off spends (well hopefully the EF is a one-time saving!) and whilst I have relaxed my efforts slightly at the moment, this just shows the progress I could make and all on my own, particularly when my prioritise aren't split.

So last night I decided I want to go out for a beer and a bite to eat. I treated bf as he'd paid for quite a bit towards the end of last month. It was exactly what I needed, although tbh the food wasn't great but really liked the bar - will remember it as a place for a drink but probably skip the food there!

I picked the bed frame up on my way home from work yesterday - dying to put it together but I'm going to clean the carpet whilst the room is pretty much empty first. I will need to get some new bedding for in there as I dumped the old duvet etc. I'm also going to pick up a kallax unit at some point to act as bedside table/ storage for in there. But that is really all that is required for that room. I also managed to get the Christmas decorations up in the loft - now to decide what to do with the old furniture that is also in the third bedroom as need to slowly empty that as the first step to sorting that room out. The problem is, I never seem to be at home for long and so if I sold (or simply gave away) via FB it would be a bind for me to have someone come collect it! But I guess I could list and then be particular when items can be collected?!

    Today's bits and pieces...
    • Make lunch to take to work - last of the leftover fajitas
    • Make CC payment now statement has come in
    • Update spreadsheet
    • Re-jig order of priorities of CCs - I was snowballing (i.e. focus on the smallest) but now I've done the balance transfer, two were now at the same smallest amount however for one the interest free period ends slightly before the other (only by 6 weeks)
    • Start listing items on FB marketplace (will need to take photos of some)
    • Print out blooming forms!!!!
    • Look into zip zero as now have enough points to use towards a bill - however when I used this app in the past it never actually seemed to payout!!!
    • Pop to shop for a couple of bits that will be needed for the weekend
    • Snap receipt
    • Quick dinner from stores
    • Park for free at netball - however I am debating an extra game which will cost £5

Glad you enjoyed the bar 😊

Olio is good for giving things away, also has a sales section that seems less popular but no harm trying- I mention it particularly as it's got a big emphasis on you and the collector both stating days and times you can do

I've never sold through there @PennysIntoPounds, so I will check it out as well as FB.

Just thought I'd write a list of a few things that I need to de-clutter to keep me accountable (i.e. actually make me start the de-cluttering!!!)
    • Velux window (unused in a building project and had for 11 years now!!!) - Dad has found a friend of his that wants it, so will be passing along to him for free
    • Bedframe - listed on FB marketplace for £75 but may reduce the price in a week
    • Glass set of shelves - listed on FB marketplace for £10 but may reduce the price or offer for free in a week
    • TV unit - need to take photo and then will list on FB marketplace for £10 initially
    • Toaster - need to photo then will offer for free on FB
Not a lot of items but they are mostly quite bulky so take up a lot of unnecessary space!!! I will scout around the house if there is anything else that really just needs to go - whether that be binned (like half a bag of hay!), given away for free or sold!!!

    Happy Friday!!!

Played two fun games of netball last night but wow it was hot!!! Annoyingly we lost our game by one goal meaning we drop from 2nd to 4th in the table!

This weekend looks like it is a night in with bf tonight and then going to a local folk festival with friends tomorrow. I am currently debating whether to drink or drive tomorrow - one for money and two because getting a taxi may be a nightmare!! I will text my friend to see what her plans are and that can help decide! It will cost £20 for the ticket into the main area as it is. I have a busy summer lined up so need to consider where to spend money and where to save!

Other things for the weekend including doing some sorting out (didn't have time to photo the other bits last night!) and cleaning the spare bedroom carpet. I don't think I'm brave enough to attempt to build the bed - so that might be a job for dad next week!!!

    Today's bits and pieces...
    • Load of washing on 30 degree quick cycle
    • Hang washing on airer
    • Make lunch to take to work
    • Pop tortoises in the garden so their light can be off today
    • Update spreadsheet
    • Text friend to help work out plans for tomorrow
    • Print out blooming forms!!!!
    • Not sure on dinner plans with bf yet

I recently had to clear out a relative's house fairly quickly. I contacted a hospice shop who came with a van & took away anything I didn't want to keep.  Obviously I didn't get anything for it but it was good to know the charity would benefit. KA
