That felt like a lovely weekend! Lots of time spent with various family! Had both bf's kids for the weekend and on Saturday we took his mum out the care home and we all went for lunch. Then afterwards his sister and her 3 kids came over for a few hours. Then yesterday morning my parents came round! After they left, we had a bbq and just played in the garden before dropping them back. So was chilled but filled!

I did spend some money on some new trainers that I'd been looking at but were quite expensive! However, I justified them to myself as follows... They were reduced from £150 to £105 - I then found a 15% off code dropping them to £89! However, that meant it was under £100 so postage would have cost £7 - so instead I ordered 2 sizes (I'm really a 4.5 size). So it has cost me more now and will have to return one (or both) pair and that will only cost £3! I also went via TCB which is currently tracking at £12, but obviously will go down when I return a pair. Yes my bf laughed at me and the lengths I have to go to to spend money! I had intended to treat myself to a "congratulations" present for my new job, so I am counting this!

I did also spend some bits from various pots including some wood chips so that I can clean out the tortoises, a new bath mat as ours is falling apart and some factor 50 suncream following a recent doctors appointment for a weird mark on my face! So quite a spendy weekend in some ways, but predominantly from pots! Annoyingly, the fridge is also sounding a bit noisy so I'm worried that is going to break soon - and it isn't even that old I don't think! (Definitely bought whilst still with ex so more than a couple of years but probably about 4/5 - is this usual?!)

I had a few things that feel like little "wins" over the weekend - bf's mum paid of lunch on Saturday (although I had bought me and the kids a drink whilst waiting for bf to arrive with her) and the food was lovely! Plus bf's mum seemed so happy to be out and with her grandkids. When my mum came over, I spoke to her about my knitting failure and she took the top with her and has undone the bind off and re-done! So that is now finished! Plus I have been slowly working on my jumper and finished binding that off last night! So I just need to block and sew in a couple of ends and then can tick that one off too!

The big update is that the house should be listed online today!!! So now I'm going to have to make sure I keep on top of housework/ clutter for potential viewings!!! However, the estate agent hasn't yet done the photos of bf's flat (booked for Wednesday) and obviously need to tie both sales together so not in a rush to sell.

Be back shortly with some weekly goals!

I'm pleased I'm not the only one @dawnybabes!!!

So the house is official on the market! Already have two viewings booked in as well! Me and bf have a call this evening with a financial adviser to discuss the mortgage etc. So it's all getting quite real now!

I've ended up working from home today - only one other person was going to be in the office today (and possibly leaving at lunch). So that saves me the petrol as it's an 80-mile round trip to the office. Also means I can potter, faff and tidy around working!

Me and bf went to go for a beer last night - however after waiting at the bar for 10 minutes and no one appearing to serve us, we gave up! But at least it saved us they money! We then went on an "adventure" to Lidl instead of the usual Aldi!

    Today's bits and bobs include...
    • Update spreadsheet
    • Pop tortoises in the garden
    • Make CC payment -  minimum as other statement has arrived
    • Load of washing on 30 degree quick cycle
    • Hang washing on airer
    • Sew in ends on knitted jumper
    • Research knitting projects for next cast on
    • List two things on Vinted
    • Leftover sausages for lunch
    • Call with financial adviser
    • Dinner from stores

Grrr, the fridge-freezer is broken! I wouldn't be so annoyed if we hadn't just been food shopping and now will have to throw some (if not all) of it out! New one has been ordered and arrives on Friday so will have to make do until then - and possibly multiple trips to the shop!

Call with financial adviser was good and we can borrow more than we had anticipated - not that we would want to make the mortgage payments as big as they would allow! But I now feel like I have a slightly better grasp on things! We then just cooked dinner and watched some TV.

Tonight bf is playing golf and I am possibly meeting up for some acro in the park! Need to double check if anyone is still planning to go along though! Before that we have two viewings booked, so I will be making sure the house is tidy around working! Tomorrow is a busy day - in the office, then back to quickly walk the pooch, then pick bf up from a networking event, then netball!

    Anyway, back to today...
    • Transfer bf my half of the fridge
    • Update spreadsheet
    • Try and eat meals from stores!
    • Pop tortoises in the garden
    • List SOMETHING on Vinted!

What bad timing for the fridge freezer.  Cook as much as you can & it may keep until Friday.  These things never happen in the middle of a frost.

I was going to suggest exactly the same as @badmemory.  Cooked food lasts quite a reasonable length of time particularly if the fridge itself is still OK.  If not do you have a cool box/bag that you can put the cooked food into?  alternatively a cardboard box and cover it with old duvets to keep it cool.
