A phone call is OK as a first contact but ask them to copy you into the cancellation email so you have tangible evidence.

Not bothered about any appeal farce, but the advice in the NEWBIES thread is clear that it is not done before or alongside PLAN A.

Appeal is very much secondary, and you also know from the NEWBIES thread and from the PCN that there are 28 days to do PLAN B.
Thank you very much, I will be calling them tomorrow and hoping for a positive reception from MW. I will report back here afterwards with an update and will hold off using the appealpcn.co.uk website for now.

Should I mention who the driver was when speaking to MW or should that be strictly avoided?

    Thank you.
If you are going to be relying on non-POFA and no keeper liability, then just keep it to "I am calling as registered keeper".  This is why it is better to keep it to e-mail because you have time to construct your message without talking about who was driving, you never know, we have read instances of landowners/agents forwarding the complaint to the PPC!
That makes sense, I just thought the phone would be easier especially with the 14 days ending. But as coupon-mad has advised, I'm trying to ignore the 14 day thing.

The PCN mentions schedule 4 of the 2012 POFA and also, they are a BPA associated. If it helps, should I try to post an image of the PCN?
  • I have contacted MW and they have acknowledged my complaint and forwarded it to the managing agent, MJ MAPP.

    Still nothing from Costa yet.
