Possibly cherryfudge.
The plot never happened as OH had to prepare the area ready for the ramp and unfortunately ended up badly bruising his ribs. Plus the out pipe from the dishwasher broke at the same time. Everything had to come out from under the sink. At least that gave me chance to declutter and consolidate what’s under there. Several old plates and a giant pot went in the bin.Managed to go through 5 box files now reduced to 3 and 🥳found the paperwork I need to reapply for the youngest blue badge. Lots of paper to be recycled.

Time has really flown. The youngest is slowly feeling better.Still lots of decluttering to be done but now needs to wait for either a rainy day or this winter. The plot is requiring attention. We had our first forced rhubarb today, served with pancakes and Greek yoghurt for breakfast. First raised bed is in, this one hasn’t cost us anything as most of the wood came from dads. Hopefully will have enough saved to buy the wood for the next one. I had fallen a little bit out of love with it too be honest. It’s normally a lot of hard work, but it’s really needing a lot of tlc because of last year’s family health issues. However this week we have gradually made major in roads into it. Lots of old currant bushes have been taken out of the orchard, this has given us more room to move around in there. Hacked back lots of wild blackberry that is threatening to take over. I’ve managed to tidy up various areas and got it how I want it rather than how fil had it. We’re not sure how much he will come up at the moment as he is due for a hernia op some time this year. So I’ve decided if I’m the one going up then I want it how I want it. Found lots of homes for things rather than tossed here there and everywhere. Massive bonfire will be needed as lots of knackered bits of wood laying around. All ready got rid of a bucket of smashed glass and put in our bin. Sowed toms (4 types), summer psb, cabbage, peppers and aubergines. Bought an almanac book to see if that will reignite my passion for the plot.Almost lunchtime and I’m peckish.

This might be an encouraging thread to follow for allotment motivation?:

I think you are right to 'own' the space now though as it doesn't sound like FiL will be capable of helping much again, sadly. Also, some of the things you have done may make it easier for him to spend some time there when he's past his op?
Glad your youngest is feeling better

We seem to have the weather for it, unless you're spending all your time watering! I hear there's a partial eclipse this morning, so perhaps you'll get a view of that (through a tea strainer apparently, for safety's sake).
