Hi I’ve read your whoooole diary, and I I’ve very much enjoyed reading it. I love all of the allotment talk. I wish I had the time, I would love to grow my own food. Yay for the peppers being watered.

Thank you missymoo81(fabulous name by the way) for your kind words.
Busy day , started with taking mil to the sm, they were doing microwaves for £50 and ours was literally falling apart. The inside metal was peeling off. This one will be perfect as it’s a very simple design , which means the youngest should with training be able to use it. Got 1 for the eldest too who will refund me at the weekend. I was a bit naughty and splurged out on a bistro set which was reduced to £25. We have been looking for a decent 2nd one for several months but all more expensive than what I paid. Hopefully it won’t rain tomorrow and we’ll be able to sit in the garden and have breakfast.
Visited the plot after giving the ceiling another coat of paint. Found out our allotment neighbour has passed away sadly, they have been on the allotment 64 years and were a fountain of knowledge. They will be greatly missed.
frugalness for today
1. Bistro set reduced from £65 to £25.2. A fairly cheap microwave
3. Free exercise 10500 steps
4. Harvested beans, potatoes, apples, tomatoes and courgettes.
5. Tea had some of the above in.
6. The youngest is helping eat the apple mountain rather than eating expensive blueberries 🥳.
Love 🐞

64 years on an allotment is what I think counts as a 'good innings'. It sounds like many well-spent years!
Your harvest is doing nicely - and it's great the youngest is into apples now!I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

Thanks everyone. Saw allotment neighbours wife as her children had brought her up. We had a hug , shed a few tears. She was so pleased to see my fil, as he’s been unable to go up due to being so ill these last 8 months . Said her husband had missed him and wished he could have been here to welcome him back, but it’s not meant to be. Really pleased to see her. We are hoping she continues to come up (she’s in her 80’s he was in his 90’s).Took the youngest for a taster session at the gym, really helpful member of staff. Made them a work out sheet. A warm up, 4 exercises using the machines and then a cool down about 20 minutes in total . They came home and slept for an hour. So I’m having rest before I finish painting the ceiling and then it’s operation moving rooms over the next couple of days. One stack trolley built one to go. I’m so ready for a 😴.
OK need to shift my butt into gear.

64 years - wow! That is impressive! I bet he will be missed by all
The allotments near my new home are oversubscribed with year(s) long waits. My sister managed to get one then her DP fell ill so they handed it back! It was a shame she didn't keep it a while longer I would have loved to help her out with it. I read everyone's posts on all they grow and feel I would love to do this, need to learn a bit more though I am excellent at keeping house plants alive- outside not so greatmore practice needed...

Ah so nice your allotment with ours wife came up. Sounds like a proper family.Dfwb321 I am literally in the same place as you. I would LOVE to grow things, but with a tiny garden, a full time job and 2 small ones it seems impossible. But I do love reading about it.1

Been absolutely wiped out energy wise. I really must learn to pace myself with this condition. I can pretty much manage and put up with most of the symptoms but the fatigue from probably the stress it causes is a struggle. Anyway after resting most of yesterday I feel I’ve got a bit more energy. Jobs list is a bit more manageable, wine is in the fridge for later as OH and I have planned to sit in the garden this evening.
