Am I missing something with Halifax Rewards?

So for however long it was, I paid £500 & I got my £5. No problem.
I'd been having a feeling something wasn't quite right with my Halifax accounts (I don't keep too close a tab on them) & now I've seen it's not been right for a while.
Around 2-3 months ago I noticed that I hadn't received £5 for the month. I took a look & I should've renewed the reward - which I did for each & every account I manage. Job done ... so I thought.
Earlier this month I even took a look at "Track your rewards extra" .... which said I was on track to get the £5 for spending £500.
Thing is, I haven't received £5 since June.
I have 3x accounts with Halifax. £2000 goes in to #1 from an external source, then to Halifax #2 then to Halifax #3, back to source. I know the requirement is only £1500 but for the banks I'm with, £2000 is the top requirement (Lloyds) so that gets put through everything.
The £500 is met through NS&I.
I stay in credit.
Is there some missing/changed criteria that I'm just not grasping which is causing me to not get my £5 reward?

Pretty sure the Halifax to Halifax transfers don't count as 'external' payments?

I disagree, I do as op does, transfer into Halifax reward 1 from external then to reward 2, then reward 3, I pay by debit card to mynybs accounts from all three, I get £5 reward on all three and I’ve just checked and it’s showing as on track again this month.35har1old said:

My OH and I have 5 accounts between us. £2500 goes in to one of the accounts from external sources and is juggled around all the accounts by internal transfers. Each account ends up with having had £1500 transferred into it and £500 remains in each one, ready for the debit card transactions. I have always done this and receive the reward on each account every month, without any problems.1

Obviously it doesn't satisfy the debit card spend criteria, although I have read if you have a Halifax credit card and pay it using your Halifax debit card details that works fine.0 -
Source for this please? I can't see it in the terms and it certainly hasn't prevented my fiancée and I getting 6 or 7 £5 payments a month for the last few years.35har1old said:

If you transfer £2000 to the first account then unto the second and the then third and then back to source where is the £500 x 3 debit card funding coming from.WillPS said:

Let me just say, the internal/external question is irrelevant in my situation.
As I say, 2k comes in from external source & is then moved internally, so assuming the external people are correct then one of my accounts should get me £5.... But none of them do.
Also, the internal/external thing is totally ignoring the fact that when I click on tracking my rewards it tells me there on the screen that I'm in line to get my £5 as I've met the criteria.
@WillPS - yes I had, however that was 1)a few months ago which I rectified and 2) I still haven't had my £5 from it since. Oh and 3) I got no renewal reminder that I know of. Unless it went direct to the messages on the account which would be my fault as I don't check those. I do get occasional post from Halifax & it never came this way.
Either way, as I say, the reward tracker says I'm in line to receive my £5 for the month & payment was always 12th of the month and it hasn't happened since June. Looking at my history I've been meeting the criteria to my knowledge.
I don't see a live chat feature with Halifax which is annoying. I hate getting on the phone but it's looking like the only option. I was hoping others had experienced the same & had a solution/explanation but looks like it's just me.0 -
