Am I missing something with Halifax Rewards?

No need to search for emails, "track your rewards" via website ( I do not use apps so cannot comment on that)B0bbyEwing said:Thanks for the helpful responses.
I'll take a look at that as well as for the other people who have accounts I help to manage & see whether the issue is at my feet or Halifax's.
My own issue seems to be resolved. For some months I hadn't renewed (fair enough) but other months I had & should've been earning. I'm going to earn from now on (allegedly) and they're giving me a goodwill payment if I close the complaint now.Good news, you’re on track to get your £5 cash offer for spending £500.

The OP was looking for something other than the tracker, which we are told had inconsistent data when compared with what their system had recorded with the actual choice.
"Is there a way in online banking, be it app or computer, to find out what your account is marked as having chosen (for example, £5 with £500 spend, £5 with £5000 balance, cinema tickets etc etc)?
And also the renewal date for the reward?"
and posted what I believed to be best answer

Apologies jumping on this thread but with the £500 spend to activate the £5 reward, if I was to pay £500 into a savings account that allows card payments, can I send the £500 back into my Halifax account basically straight away?0

Sure, no problems

You'll often find that with funds deposited with debit card that the funds are not available to be withdrawn for a day or 7 (with NS&I) until they clear.georged123 said:Apologies jumping on this thread but with the £500 spend to activate the £5 reward, if I was to pay £500 into a savings account that allows card payments, can I send the £500 back into my Halifax account basically straight away?1 -
Yep, and then often another working day to process the transfer.Ed-1 said:

There is at least one way of moving money straight in and straight out, which is Revolut. It works, but do it more than a few times and they will disable that functionality. I try to reserve for an 'in a pinch' option when my credit card bill is lower than usual, and I've used up all my YBS deposits.4 -

Skipton sent me a letter to say they will close my accounts if I do it again.

I leave my Halifax £500s (minus £250 to the Member RS) accumulating in my Skipton Bonus Saver at 5.04%. I might move some of it out in a month or two. Perfectly normal banking behaviour

As said, as soon as is available.georged123 said:Apologies jumping on this thread but with the £500 spend to activate the £5 reward, if I was to pay £500 into a savings account that allows card payments, can I send the £500 back into my Halifax account basically straight away?
I did mine on the 1st as per usual, which was a Sunday this month. I think it was something like the 10th when I could get that money again +/- a day.
I messaged Halifax via my wifes app last night to question what's going on.
Basically I've ran through the 5 people (inc myself) whos accounts I manage for a total of 14 accounts. Every single one of us has 1 account where the last reward payment was June with the other accounts still receiving payments.
So I worded the questioning a little different on my wifes app. Halifax immediately just said that she qualified in July & August & will have this money refunded to her.
Though this didn't answer my question of when the reward was reactivated on the account and if she qualified for July & August (and it wasn't paid) then what about September and October which when looking at the statement, suggests she qualified for those also.
Unless of course, their answer to my question that they didn't answer answers why it wasn't paid. So I've asked again.
Still, interesting that she qualified for July & August yet it wasn't paid (therefore their error). Wonder if any of you guys have suffered Halifax's error this way.0 -
No, 3 accounts rewards all paid as normal. Using the £500 debit payment option, mostly 12th of month one month it was 14th though assume 12th was a Saturday, went back to April23 all accounted for. I renewed one account in this time, two are due January 24.B0bbyEwing said:

Ok I have a conclusion on this.
So they've acknowledged some months should've been paid but weren't - so their fault.
Question mark over September & October.
The response given is that it was renewed in September which although all the criteria was met in September (£1.5k credit, stay in credit, spend £500) - this is why the £5 reward wasn't paid in September (because the reward was renewed in September).
They say 30 days need to be given which is why a reward also wasn't paid in October (but isn't that then 61 days??) so the next payment due is November.
Maybe this is correct. Wouldn't be the first time a CS-representative gave incorrect info though.0
