Definately recommend the fountains - although make sure you clean the pump regularly as we have got through 2 in the last 7 years mainly due to them clogging up & us not cleaning them enough.
  • If you buy a water fountain buy the Cat Mate one, the pumps are situation in the back of the unit lower than the front - this stops the pump from drying out as happens with the Hagen Catit range. Cat Mate are usually found for around £22 ish.

    What about Almo Nature wet?

    Raw is best for wet
as is human tinned fish: pilchards or sardines
failing that Hi-life or Feline fayre

Burns & JWB are still doable for dried - no additives

Most human tinned fish contains a lot of salt, it's OK for an occasional treat. I agree Feline Fayre is very cheap for the quality, especially the large tins if you can find them.

Plan to read the ingredients in Butchers classic tins & make cost comparison. I buy feline fayre in sachets - Asda have been doing a special deal on multiple purchases.

My 3 lads have a thing for Felix meat in tins recently. It's on offer today and probably for a while yet at Mossisons 2x6 packs of 400g tins (meat of fish) for £5.50 which is cheap...and it stores OK in tins so you can fill your boots if your cat likes it. :)
