Credit Card Issued to Incorrect Address

Hi,
I requested a new American Express card as my old one was giving me trouble. It never arrived and when I contacted American Express it appears they have sent it and other documents to an incorrect address. They have looked into the matter and advised that their agent input my address incorrectly to their system and this caused the error. It's unknown how many documents were issued to the wrong address, American Express has said that they would like to offer some compensation for the breach and have asked me to decide on a figure. I have no idea what to suggest - can anyone help?

Given that you did not suffer any loss, till card did not turn up.

If you've suffered no 'actual' financial loss - that would seem fair to me.

Haven't some banks also added 12 months of identity fraud protection or the like in the past after they've sent customer details to the wrong parties ?1
