How much did you pay to set aside the CCJ? (Apologies if this has been mentioned previously, but this thread is at 11 pages now). If £100 covers it then maybe look to settle (them paying you) - if not then the amount you paid should be the minimum settlement amount.

I read it that they are OFFERING you £100.

Reply and say no, pay all my reserved costs and I'll walk away.  I will not be left out of pocket due to your own incompetence and ignorance (or deliberate/negligent flouting?) of the CPRs and Code of Practice re service addresses.

I am well aware you don't want a hearing in 2025, so paying my costs to make it go away has value to your client.  Especially given that a further hearing will increase my costs.

(Restate the amount of your costs, give them your sort code and bank account and give them until the end of September to close the case).

It cost me £275, so no - £100 does not cover it.

That don't make sense because at the end of the e-mail, this was written (should have copied and pasted the whole thing):

We invite you to make payment on or before the 30th September 2024.

Payment can be made via bank transfer to the account detailed as follows:

    Gladstones Solicitors Ltd

    Barclays Bank

    Account Number: 33028712

    Sort Code: 20-24-09

    Reference: xxxxx

This makes it clear that they want me to pay in money to their account.

Responded to them with my bank account details.

I am going to assume they'll decline, so June 2025 hearing it is.

UPDATE: So Gladstones spoke with the Client (UKCPM) and sent me their response on the e-mail.

UKCPM is willing to pay (or refund) the N244 fee and settle the claim. However, they don't want to pay for the additional £95 as they feel it is too excessive for me filling in the N244 form (I don't recall saying the £95 was for ONLY me filling in the form but whatever).

So it looks like Gladstones and UKCPM came to the conclusion that they will lose this case.

Question is, do I either agree to just settle with £275 and move on... or reject and wait until June 2025 and get that extra £95+.

I received the money from them.

They said they are going to issue a notice of discontinuous soon but I don’t know if that requires further action from me.

    But 100%, it’s over.  :#
