So I got an update...
There's going to be a 30 minute hearing on 24th July 2024. That's 6 months away. And just like the other case, there maybe a delay. That's awful, 6 months?
Also what happens in that hearing?0 -

One job for tonight or tomorrow if you want to join us in making change happen, so these things don't go to court in future...vital please.
Have you seen/done this Inquiry which closes on Friday?
PLEASE do it tonight or tomorrow if you want this litigation incentivised model to be stopped:
https://committees.parliament.uk/committee/102/justice-committee/news/198166/new-inquiry-justice-committee-launches-new-inquiry-on-the-work-of-the-county-court-amid-capacity-and-resource-concerns/I've been posting about it on threads to encourage victims of parking claims to please use your claim form as evidence to tell the Justice Committee that consumers need a bespoke 'parking pre-action protocol' designed to keep cases out of court.
Also te them about your delayed case and show them the latest letter. The Inquiry closes on Friday:https://committees.parliament.uk/work/7972/work-of-the-county-court/
Your paperwork will be great evidence. This is about showing how parking firms abuse the court service.AND how confusing you found the forms. You can also tell them what a minefield it is already (legal language, and paperwork treating you/your other half like a debtor!).
And how bad the delays are!
There should be a bespoke private parking protocol to resolve cases without court, and an ADR set up by the DLUHC.
I think if enough people say the above sort of stuff, this Justice Committee will go and talk to the DLUHC guys I'm dealing with, and hopefully recommend a new pre-action protocol to stop the claim tsunami. This inquiry is currently accepting evidence
"The committee wants to hear your views. We welcome submissions from anyone with answers to the questions in the call for evidence. You can submit evidence until Friday 22 December 2023."
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

So what do I have to do? Just submit my DO and WS?1 -

So 24th July, 30 minute hearing is looming close now...
Do I have to re-send the WS to the judge I submitted back in October? I read the newbies thread and it's a bit confusing to what to do exactly next here.
I have received no updates or e-mails about this case from anyone since.
P.S. Coupon-mad, I did the inquiry thing...I don't know any updates to that either lol0 -
I'd ring the local court this week and check the C hasn't discontinued. If the hearing is going ahead, now re-send your WS & evidence AND an updated costs assessment.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Thanks.
Ok, yesterday I got a letter from Gladstones with their statement and evidence. They will not be attending the hearing.
Sent in my WS and summary assessment of costs again to the county court. I haven't got an automated e-mail saying they received it.
My last court case, I sent the WS to that same enquires e-mail and when I arrived in court, the judge said he never received the WS. Luckily I had a physical spare otherwise I don't know what would had happened.
P.S. - This enquires e-mail is on the gov.uk website so it cannot be outdated. (Can it?)1 -
Check the emails details in the defence template thread, because I don't think all of them have been updated on gov, but the CNBC ones in the defence template thread post 1 are correct , although I am wondering why you are looking at gov email addresses. ?
Assuming that you are dealing with the CNBC and not your local civil court. ? If its your nominated court, check their website
Which court are you talking about. ?

Thanks guys. Got a response from that e-mail, saying the WS will be printed and filed. This didn't happen in the last court case.
I guess there's nothing else to do now until hearing day.1
