I have not received any letter prior to this. I have moved home since December 2021. I don't know what this is about, but I have a feeling it's something to do with a parking charge.

Should I call them and ask them what this is about? I have been looking at my credit score monthly, there hasn't been a CCJ applied to it (but that may change after this month passed).

But I had NO idea about this. Is this a scam? How did they get my number, but not my current address?

This will be about a court claim from a private parking firm, that Gladstones solicitors sent to your old address.  You can get this CCJ set aside and the court fee ordered for the Claimant parking firm to refund you.

DO NOT PAY THE AMOUNT TO EMPIRA.
If you do that it doesn't wipe the CCJ even though you might think it would.

    DO NOT PHONE EMPIRA.

Easiest way to suss what it's about is go to the old address this week and pick up your post.  The claim form will be there and that gives you the info you need to do a set aside.

As is explained in the 2nd post of the NEWBIES FAQS thread.  You need the claim number to move forward and you are required by the court to act very quickly once you discover a CCJ (which you do have).

Empira are the same group as Gladstones.  They got your number by a Credit Reference Agency soft trace, which is allowed.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Could it be anything to do with the situation described in this thread?...
    CPM Parking Appeal Rejected

You never did tell us the outcome of that.

You think the residents of my old address will still have the letters? They live an hour from where I live. If they threw away the letters (which could be most likely), what could I do?

How can the GOV not know I have moved away from that address for years !!!!!!?

EDIT: I have made no communication with Empira yet.

Of course it'll likely still be there.

If not, then you could send a SAR to Gladstones and ask their DPO for the claim number.

The CCJ was applied back in April. If the court posted the letters around then, why would the resident keep hold of those letters which doesn't have their name on for months? 1 month fine but for 6?

If that is the only way, I'll drive there tomorrow. It will be frustrating if I did a long drive, to end up with nothing.

What pisses me off is Gladstones KNEW I changed address as I have communicated with them on another separate case, asked them to update their records - and they STILL posted this other case that I had no clue about to my old address.

That is unfair and they need to be held accountable in some way.

Ah yes. I'm sorry, responded in that thread. It's nothing to do that case though, as I was in the court room and was fully aware about that case.

    So should I e-mail enquiries@gladstonessolicitors.co.uk:

No. I said to email their DPO email.

You don't just want a claim number either, how would that help you know what it's about?

From my previous case, the DPO I communicated with was: dpo@uk-cpm.com. Unless Gladstones has other DPOs, that is the best bet.

I need to make sure there aren't any more "claims" under that old address. Because this is wild.

    Ok, modified:

This is urgent, as there was a court case that happened months ago that I was not aware about, received no communication between Gladstones (you), DPO nor the court and got a CCJ.

    Yours faithfully
