    :hello: Kirsty and Steve :hello:
and Welcome to your New Home together :j

It's soooo exciting moving in to your first place together and enjoying making it a home!

For baby tips, check out the Marriage, Relationships & Families Board have a look through, there are numerous tips there which may be of value to you both on that front :D

Have you drawn up your budget? Worked out your menu plan and shopping list? ;) That is always the best place to begin - then you'll know if and where to begin trimming, nipping and tucking LOL

Looking forward to getting to know you

Lillibet, I hope you've told your DH that his first job after you've had the baby (before he rings the grand parents) is to log on and let us all know :j :D

    Hi Kirsty :hello:
    Bulletproof
  • Thank you all so much for all your kind comments!!

Steve and I have lived together in my, quite frankly, miniscule (sp?) flat for a month or so, so moving into this new 2 bed flat is going to seem, like heaven!!!

As for budget, I am quite anally retentive and have kept a budget spreadsheet for as long as I can remember. trying to pay for a holiday this month so fingers crossed!

Also, bought a slow cooker last month and have so far done some delicious stews and casseroles in it - be able to use it more in the new flat as I will have some work surface for it - yay!

Thanks again guys, it means a lot to know I am not on my own during all this!

    Lots of love

    Hi Kirsty! :D

You're going to love it here - everyone is very helpful and friendly.

If you can get access to a digi camera when you move in, it's really worth taking pictures of any marks etc you might find and emailing them, or printing and giving them to the letting agent with a signed copy of the inventory - I had a dispute getting my deposit back because of some pre-exisiting damage to the wallpaper and the dated pictures were invaluable to me then to prove that it wasn't me that had caused them!
