What other bills have you had since March ? Are they for a different meter serial number ?Do you actually have 2 separate meters with different serial numbers ?What have you paid since then ?When was your meter changed (11th Sept) ?Where roughly do you live (what region) ?It may be that they have not been billing for a second meter, often these odd 2 meter systems go unnoticed as they are not really properly supported by other than the old "electricity board" company.0

So as you can see you have had credits on your bill to counterbalance the high unit costs.
Still confused as to where a second meter is coming into all of this0 -
On bus so might get this wrong.
1st 3 readings and higher rates in your second post as expected all pre EPG discounts and so in reality paying c32,c31p dropping to 28p ex vat on Jul 1st with no epg.
So not e7 etc just single rate for 3 - 2 with epg - time periods.
No idea why you have or had a second meter at same single rate, using c7kWh per day Aug 26-sep 10.
Unless was originally split e7 and then moved to single rate at your request.
That's on high side of my normal daily summer use for 1 in a 2 bed terrace with DG without heating.

Lots of loose ends here that are confusing things. Without knowing all the basics we're effectively groping in the dark.* Presumably there were physically two meters as evidenced by the two meter serial numbers. Was the property once on a strange legacy tariff possibly from a different supplier, e.g. THTC from Scottish Power? These charged different circuits at different rates.* Are the meters inside the flat, or in an external cupboard or meter room? One meter might be for a communal area or stairway hence not your responsibility. If you switch everything off overnight (or preferably longer) do both meter readings stay completely unchanged with the red light (marked 1000 imp/kWh or similar) never flashing?* One meter seems to be billed six-monthly but some bills for the other meter are not shown.* What's used for room heating? Panel heaters and anything that uses 'on demand' daytime electricity will always be very expensive to run. If storage heaters are being used then E7 is likely to be cheaper.* Do you now have just one smart meter for everything? Is there a card next to the new meter showing the closing and opening readings?* Make sure you're now on monthly billing.1

My meter was changed on 11th September. My meter was changed because it was not linked up to a Tele switch for peak/off peak times. So things like my hot water tank have been running all the time.
I had two separate meters with two serial numbers - I used to have economy 7 type tariff but it went over to the same one ages ago, I must have decided that at some point.
I live in Central Scotland.
these are the payments I have made since April. I had a hige bill previously because I neglected to send my meter readings in, but I've been doing that every month since.

(If you edit the quote then start to type a response, you won't be able to type outside the quote box without changing to the code view.)1 -
I'm in a housing association flat. It had two meters attached to a tele switch for peak/off peak electricity. (however the tele switch had been removed from the meter system at some point after a power surge, I've only just found out). I have overnight storage heaters (not been on since May, maybe) and a hot water heater that has a top up switch (its supposed to heat up overnight only). I have one meter on the wall but it has different meter readings if I cycle through the buttons for peak/off peak. It's attached to this switch so I'm hoping my electric usage will drop now. Because I pay direct debit I always assumed I was on monthly billing.Gerry1 said:Lots of loose ends here that are confusing things. You're only on monthly billing if they actually send you bills each monthwillowanne said:

More and more confusing.*That meter dates back to 2013 and is good until Feb 2033. Has it only just been installed?* How many meters do you now have?* Those times are Economy 10, not Economy 7. It's a legacy tariff that's being phased out and it's becoming very expensive.* What type of storage heaters do you have? The old simple ones with input and output control knobs, or the all-singing all-dancing High Heat Retention ones (e.g. Dimplex Quantum) with a display screen and fan?* Make sure the Boost switch for the immersion heater is left switched off.0
