Asda Mobile terms & conditions .... frequency of top ups.

No reason at all to contradict  4_Pete's_Sake 's experience/advice given but I'd be wary of the phone not allowing o/b calls after six months (even if not required at present) and shutting down after 270 days.

Don't think so, unless it's one of those dodgy £5 a time tipster SMS things that I'm sure it's still possible to sign up to.

You don’t get charged for an incoming call (or text) so they aren’t chargeable events.
