Went from plans of the dreaded Hall skirtings to beach, arcades, and a meal out because in laws unexpected decided to stay over nearby
So I've had to rewash a load which is still not hung at 10pm. On plus side we haven't been home to generate dishes

Morning all
Misty start here. I am having a cuppa in bed listening to the stags rutting, such an amusing sound even though they don’t mean it that way!We had family over yesterday afternoon which was nice. I never got round to doing laundry yesterday, but did all the outside jobs thankfully.Roast chicken dinner for tea and all the trimmings. DD has some homework to do and more brownies have been requested.
Have lovely Sundays all xx6 -
Good morning my lovelies xx
Misty start here too. WM is swishing though as that second load needs doing whatever the weather does today! (Or I could go to work in my underwear this week 🤔 Hmmm. I'm always angling to be sent home, maybe turning up half naked would do the trick 😉)
I woke up at 6 feeling human - must have uploaded some spoons yesterday. Thank goodness. Drained was not the word. Anyhoo, 6 seemed a tad early so I decided to lie for half an hour thinking about birthday/ Christmas present ideas .....and woke up at 8.40!!!
I'm up, made my bed, WM is swishing (as previously mentioned), and I've supped my first brew.
Second brew required. Looking round for Fayolle as she seems to know when kettle's on 😊
Enjoy your day.

I faffed about online for so long that WM finished its cycle. So I put my fleece on over my nightie and pegged out the washing. Sun is trying to break through but failing at the moment. Bit of a breeze. It'll lighten if nothing else. I put out the rubbish and recycling before taking off my fleece. And I'm now enjoying toast and marmalade with my second brew.

Morning all,
Yes, the kettle was on then, Round 😉, and my rapidly cooliing second brew is following me around the downstairs, whilst I flick the duster about. My body seems also to decide that enough was enough and I stayed away from the WAC. Woke up at 6am (spooky, Round must have woken me with her Christmas list cogitations), then back to sleep until 8.10! Decided that today I have to tackle my lists (note the plural, *sigh*) and dust off my wings, rather than tackle the ever increasing outside list. So, the second load is in the wm, I have sorted that clean washing, and s&s the bathroom. Downstairs is nearly dusted, after DH failed to deliver on his promise to fly downstairs last week. Too busy, apparently. Hmmmm🤔.
Back to the duster, vacuum cleaner is next in line for an outing.
Have a lovely day all. We have glorious sunshine here, happy to share it if you need a bit 🌤️ x6 -
Ohh there is something strange in the air, I also woke up at 6am decided it was too early and dozed off until 8.09am!!
No sun here but the washing is out. I dragged my backside off the sofa yesterday and spent a couple of hours dusting, hoovering, putting summer clothes in the box on the top shelf of the wardrobe and generally trying to make the house more presentable.
Weird dream about my brother last night. No idea what that was about but it was a restless night.
Today I need to wash the car, poo pick and weed the garden, do some paperwork for DHs business and update my finance spreadsheet and to do list. None of which is hugely appealing. My energy levels are worryingly depleted at the moment.
Glad it went well with Miss Squizz Pigpen x7 -
I'm dressed, fed the birds, checked my bank statement and WULTD.
Still no sign of the sun here.

I was in the WAC from around 1am for a couple of hours and am feeling now. Put the washing on the wrong setting so it’s taking aggggeees. DW unloaded, reloaded and going again. Chicken in SC and veg prepped. Pack ups made.
Genuine question - how do you all keep your spirits up? I have felt so down recently. Nothing is wrong on paper - we have our health, I have a full time job, we live in a lovely part of the world albeit in a money pit of a house. Yet I struggle to find joy and laughter a lot of the time.I don’t have many friends IRL, and when I try to forge new friendships nothing really comes of them. I feel like we live in a really insular world in many ways and do feel lonely at times which doesn’t help. I also get frustrated with just how much work needs doing, exacerbated by things like builders who don’t come back and leave things half done.
I really, really don’t mean this to sound woe-is-me, it’s just a statement of fact for how I feel a lot of the time and wonder if others have experiences to share? X6 -
ASB, my lovely, you are not alone in feeling that way xx Not that I will, but I am sure that I could name at least 2 other flyladies who feel the way that you do, more times than they don’t. For me, this is why this thread is so important. Yes, you are all a substitute for the friends that, for some reason that others see that I obviously don’t get, I don’t have IRL. But that makes all of you all the more important to me. Someone is always there to listen, and no judgement. Hang on in there, lovely xx
Stayimg true to the thread…I have cleaned the whole house. Please free free to polish my halo, or put on your shades if I am blinding you 😊5
