So there is quite a few updates to be had.
Firstly, my dad has healed really well and despite not letting me help them out, or listening to me in anyway he's doing well. Lots of healing still to go, but he's having physio and doing much better than they expected. So that's the good news. Secondly, we've all be really poorly. DH in particular. He's been on steroids, antibiotics and is now on a new superstrength inhaler. He's still not 100% but is much better than he was.
So MIL was meant to start chemo on the Tuesday, but then caught flu so couldn't. Within a week the cancer had spread too much and so she was transferred to hospice. She passed away on the 10th November. But the funeral isn't until the beginning of December. It's been quite intense and full on as you can imagine, so I've completely lost track of all MSE stuff. DH is currently signed off work, he's really been through it. He caught the flu off his mum and it really got hold of him.
DS1 is handling it all okay. DS2 has really struggled. It's the first proper brush with death for both of them, so it's been a lot.
I think I hit burnout and just crashed last week. I'm feeling much better now though. Still not 100%, but I'm getting there. Just trying to get on top of things and get back on track ahead of Christmas. It's doing to be a tough December I think. The funeral is on the Tuesday and DH's birthday the Friday. Then it's our wedding anniversary on the 17th and obviously all the Christmas stuff. So will see how we go, think we are going to keep it as low key a December as we can.
Oh and just to add to the fun - I'm going through a restructure/reorganisation at work. It kicked off last week. My job is not under threat and I'll remain at the same grade, which is fantastic. However, my current role no longer exists. So I'm being funnelled into one of two options. I'm not sure what I want to do. It's adding additional stress to life.Reduction in daily mortgage interest since October 23 (new mortgage) - £2.36 July 25

Well I've fallen off the wagon with all of this.twinklie said:New Academic Year - New Years resolutions.- List 3 things on Vinted per week - even if it's just little bits.
- Get a cleaning schedule that works for me sorted. Trial a few bits and then make a list.
- Get routines sorted for the boys in line with homework/clubs etc.
- Plan 'get fit' routine.
- Try and work on a 'hot spot' per day - 30 mins max then stop.
- Meal plan.
I've already created a meal planner spreadsheet which auto creates a shopping list too - so fingers crossed I get proactive with that. I'm planned for this week, shopping ordered and being delivered tomorrow.
1. I've listed nothing but have sold 2 things that were already on there this week.
2. Cleaning has gone by the by - we've been in survival mode.
3. Routines, again, survival mode.
4. We have started a family exercise class (strength and training) on a Saturday morning which has been great.
5. Not happened.
6. Very loosely, but not as focused as I was hoping for.
The likelihood is, none of this is going to happen anytime soon. I need to get the house back in a useable state and get us back to where we were. Then it'll be Christmas o'clock.Reduction in daily mortgage interest since October 23 (new mortgage) - £2.36 July 25

Oh one thing I did do that was MSE - I transferred mine and DS1's phones to Lebara via the MSE deal that was up. So that should save a bit of money for us.Reduction in daily mortgage interest since October 23 (new mortgage) - £2.36 July 25

Oh Twinklie I'm so sorry to read your update. Big hugs to you all. ☹️ It's no wonder you've fallen off the MSE wagon. It happens to most of us when life hits hard. Be kind to yourself ❤️.Emergency Fund- £717.772

Oh and the car was broken - £273 later - 2 new tires and a new ABS sensor and it's all sorted.
I'll take that since I was expecting a much higher cost. The MOT is due in January, so it should now sail through that (all being well). Reduction in daily mortgage interest since October 23 (new mortgage) - £2.36 July 25

Goodness, what a lot of difficult and emotional life events for you all to cope with. Survival mode definitely understandable. Hope you can be gentle with yourself and stick to having a lowish key December whilst you all recover a bit more.0

So had a lovely night at my friends last night. There were 6 of us wreath making. Ive never done it before and it was such good fun. I was really proud of my creation…and of myself for socialising. £20 for the wreath making materials. Everyone else was drinking but I took a flask of hot chocolate and stayed sober. I was tucked up in bed by 11pm.
Went to our family exercise class this morning, I nearly died. 😂 Think I’m going to have to go back on steroids. I can only breathe in the top part of my lungs. I don’t seem to be able to get a deeper breath when exercising. It’s very frustrating. But at least collectively we are making use of the membership we bought. And it’s encouraging us to make healthier life choices. It’s the funeral on Tuesday so I’m a bit anxious about that. DH and his brother have had a big fall out, so I’m hoping things don’t come to a head on the day.Work is insane with the restructure. I’ve no idea what I want to do yet. I’m just a bit lost. I keep switching between one to another. I genuinely don’t know what I want to do and may cry. Why can’t someone just tell me what to do? I’m not in an adulting mindset.Need to take the kids to get their feet measured this weekend. DS2 needs new shoes. I think DS1 is okay, but who knows. Could also do to sort out funeral outfits and just confirm what we are wearing. I think we know.Im just looking forward to finishing for the holidays. I’m exhausted and don’t want to keep on keeping on. I’m tired.Reduction in daily mortgage interest since October 23 (new mortgage) - £2.36 July 25
