So DH is now chairman of the allotment. So I’m guessing that I might actually get my way now and get more stuff done down at the allotment. I really hope so anyway.

So it's about to get spendy. I need a new laptop - so buying a basic cheapy for me.

However, DS1 also needs a laptop - we are buying him a gaming laptop, which obviously cost quite a bit of money. But he's outgrown the respite groups we were using, the other option in our area for 'kids like him' is an online gaming service. I think he will enjoy that and will hopefully make new friends.

He doesn't see any school friends out of school, but I know some of his friends like to game. So I'm hoping this will mean he can interact with them more. So it will help with this school work, plus he really wants to get into coding more so it will help with that also.

I'm exam marking again this year - I dropped out last year after lots of family drama and grandma at deaths door - my head wasn't in the right place for it. But I'm back this year so hopefully will cover the cost of my laptop with a big chunk left over to put towards paying off the holiday.

DH is still looking for another job. I've also been looking (not seriously as such), but can't find anything that pays enough that I could do. So I think I'm stuck where I am, which is a blessing and a curse.

We've had a lovely weekend so far, but I'm feeling a bit meh at the though of getting back on the school/work merry-go-round. I NEED to win the lottery, even if it's just enough to mean I can take a less well paying job. I feel like I have too much stress in my life at the minute and it all stems from work.

That said, I also generally need to just be more productive and stop being a waster. I'm just in holiday mode early this year I think.

Went with DS2 to a theme park yesterday for his friends birthday. He had so much fun and I only had to pay for me. Well they did offer to pay for me (because he needs an adult with him), but I said I’d pay for me.

I was absolutely dreading it but it turned out a lovely day in the end and the kids had a great time running round like crazy things.

I feel really hungover today though (yet not a drop of alcohol was touched). Must have been all the fun in the sun.🤣

Oh that sounds great Twinkie glad you both enjoyed it. Ds2 got a gaming pc for Christmas and loves it, doesn't seem to stop him playing with his friends in real life, he just plays with them all again after they come in! Hope you can get a good deal.

My 19 year old has a gaming pc, they play with their RL friends mainly and has helped them stay in touch with their friends during a global pandemic, health issues, group members going off to Uni etc. They also meet up regularly without their computers to socialise.

Well I’ve not been able to get on here for AGES due to the technology gremlins! So I’ll need to sit down and figure out what updates I need to give.

My big achievement of this week is that I finally did my  gym induction and did a Pilates class all on my own. I’m very proud of myself.
