Sarahwithlove said:Thanks to monzo today was my payday. So I shuffled the money to the various pots both on monzo and ynab. I've given myself a clothing budget with some of the overtime funds and put £100 into the savings as well as usual £250 into Sinking funds.
I have a good personal spending budget, football funds for away tickets and good food budget for healthy eating. I've realised I need to be sensible with my spending but also give myself a quality of life.tbh I absolutely love monzo and just everything about it.
It is about finding that right balance I think, we also have pretty healthy personal spends budget and most of mine does end up going on football. I know this is about money saving and stuff but you also have to be able to enjoy yourself too. Life isn't just about the debt payoff - as long as you are happy and consistent with payments and the overall balance coming down then living a bit is good for you

Monzo is fab! So glad I made the switch to it. I'm happy with the levels my debts are going down for now. By the new year i should have a better savings buffer and can look at making overpayments on the loans.*Dad loan - £5300 - £7200

This month feels like its flying by! I've taken a step back from ynab and ended up cancelling the trial. I wasn't getting enough benefit from it. My monzo pots generally work quite well and adjusting my budget to meet other needs rather than putting it all into one pot seems to be working.*Dad loan - £5300 - £7200

Nice to "see" you. I've taken some of the y nab principles and am using them to run my budget my way. I started my y nab trial with a flurry of activity but I realise that I'm too fluid to keep balancing the books in the system. However, it's really helped me to set realistic savings targets across the categories and not try to spend the same money multiple times.

I have rejoined the gym this week, been 3 times this week and can already see the difference in my physical capabilities. The test is going to be next week when I'm back at work and have to balance that, the gym and overtime. But I've planned my 3 days I'm going to gym so that helps. I've also joined team RH. I find the app really good and have managed 2 weeks on plan so far. Calories were high I thought at the beginning but I'm finding it easier to stick to them as a result. The scales are still going down so going to keep going for now.*Dad loan - £5300 - £7200

Hi Sarah , another monzo fan here , great to see the pots increasing even if only by a small amount. Your fitness goals sound great , team RH seems to be quite successful, the best of luck for the coming week xx1
