Sold an item i forgot about last night on FB marketplace, so put the £20 towards a haircut today using remainder from my health and beauty pot.

Food shop competed yesterday so shouldn't be any other expenses today. May even do some overtime.

Tomorrow is football away day, my cousin is driving so will give her petrol money. Then we will eat lunch out at pub. Also likely get a coffee in AM as being picked up at 7.30am. Going to take a packed lunch for dinner on way home instead of going to drive thru or services. But that will all come from my personal spending fund.

Hair was cut, I washed it myself beforehand so saved myself £10 so will have to remember that in future.

Ended up having to pop out for some clothing. My favourite trousers have got a whole in that isn't on a seem and really obvious. Will be ok for wearing at home but they are trousers I usually wear to office. Got pair of linen trousers for £10 from Matal@n and also a new black bra as that also broke this morning. At some point im going to have to invest in some decent ones which last longer but need to save up for that. Had to jiggle some pots around and used the £10 spare from haircut to cover clothing. Its making me rethink my budget again though.

Happy Sunday. Was a very long day yesterday and more spendy then I would have liked. But its done so now just have to he careful for the rest of the month.

I need to take some clothes back to Asda as they don't fit well. So annoying they took away the changing rooms. Think i will go back to Matalan and buy it from there. It's £2 more but fit and quality seems better. That's today's job.

Glad you enjoyed the football . Would it be an idea to start a clothing pot even with overtime/spare money ? X

Yes plan is to add a clothing allowance and think I'll use your idea of setting up a pot with initial lump sum from overtime funds this month.

Thanks to monzo today was my payday. So I shuffled the money to the various pots both on monzo and ynab. I've given myself a clothing budget with some of the overtime funds and put £100 into the savings as well as usual £250 into Sinking funds.

I have a good personal spending budget, football funds for away tickets and good food budget for healthy eating. I've realised I need to be sensible with my spending but also give myself a quality of life.

Yes, you definitely need a quality of life and balance. Otherwise, you just have blowouts.

For sure! And I end up stealing from another pot which isn't what they are there for. I am hoping though that I can curb some of the mindless spending.

I have found if I allow small and often then it stops the blow outs. By often, I mean a few pound candle, and a bottle of wine once a week now. I love home bargains as I can treat myself for a lot less and feel like I have had a treat.
