How on earth do you suddenly find you have run out of sofas. I can understand pens & pencils but how do you miscount sofas?

Natwest credit card is now down £475 thanks to the sofa refund. I'm also taking a break from repaying my loan to my dad as want to make sure its not showing on bank statements for mortgage renewal. This will bring my credit card clearance date forward to April, possibly March if I tighten the purse strings more.
Admittedly it doesn't take into account that I will need a new sofa but as stated previously I'm probably going to put that on finance. I know its not very MSE but it will be about £20 a month and is what works best for me. I'll then build up my savings some more next year before looking to overpay the sofa finance.
I currently have £200 sat in my buffer account but need to pay for this month's injection and do some more Xmas shopping. I have 2 people left to buy for, one of which is my friend I'm seeing tomorrow. We both have birthdays around Xmas so going to suggest instead of doing gifts we do an activity. Thinking either theatre trip or spa day maybe. I will shop around again for my injection to get the best value for money.
Speaking of jab I'm down 18lbs in 7 weeks so I am happy with that as I struggle to lose weight usually. I have medications and medical conditions that make it harder to lose weight. I usually average 1lb a week when I've lost weight in the past.*Dad loan - £5300 - £7200

I left home 55 years ago & I have still never had a brand new sofa. I now want a made to fit recliner, just need to dump a load of furniture get the decorators in & a new carpet down. With my remarkable abilities at procrastination I may make it before I'm 90 but not banking on 12 years being long enough. Then I want a new kitchen. I'm not sure I will make it to 102 though.

I saved for just this mostly in the last 1.5yrs before I retired whilst taking my state pension too. Didn't bank on needing to keep DS into my dotage but we manage.

How is the weekend nearly gone already?
Spendy day for me today I met my friend for a coffee this morning that turned into 2. Then I went to Mat@lan and Pets @ home on way back. It was then 2 30pm and I was starving so got myself a McD which had major regret over. My tummy is not impressed, nausea is high, and really didn't enjoy it. I had nuggets and fries to keep calories lower so easily within my daily allowance. Just feel yuck from it.
I do need to reign in the spending though as I've had a Mr C 3 days in a row! I now have a free one for my next one but I need to limit myself to one a week. I've also eaten out twice this weekend as well. I really should have just waited and had something when I got home.
Me and my friend did agree though on theatre tickets for our joint birthday and Xmas present to each other. So we've booked to go and see Six in April which I'm looking forward to. I was supposed to go and see it earlier this year but wasn't well so unable to go.
I'm aiming for a NSD tomorrow, Tuesday will probably be a top up food shop as fruit will likely be gone by then so I'll need more. Wednesday is office day so train and parking costs. Thursday should also be a NSD then Friday having boiler serviced and a quote for 2 new radiators. Which I had forgotten about so that cost will come out of sinking fund.*Dad loan - £5300 - £7200
