finally home from said wedding.. DD1 had a wonderful time and was herself and free for the first time in a long time I saw the girl I grew and not the woman she was made to be.. I think she is going to be just fine. We were last men standing and the 3 small boys were asleep but the bigger two were up and dancing and had a fantastic time.. it's a once in a childhood thing for most to be out until midnight dancing.. we Rick Rolled them at 11:55pm.. it was amazing.. I have a video I will share if DD1 allows..
I, in my drunken wisdom (serisouly not that bad) have maybe said yes to a puppy, booked eyesplashes being done and lost the plot I am sure..
Having a cuppa and trekking off to bed.. I have a bliste ron my big toe and OH is pretty fabulous, I may keep him annoying as he is!

Morning all (throws aspirin, ibuprofen etc and compeed plasters to Piggers). Awake early after a long and sound sleep with IIRC no loo visits…wow
Just done the ironing during my vertical half hour (and on cheap rate leccy) - yesterdays bedding which would have been drier had I realised it was raining earlier, so that’s on the maiden airing. My chilli jelly has set well, so will bag it up later. Might go and get some crackers for sampling.
See you later

Glad you had a settled night Valli xx
Iona I sincerely hope DH makes your brekkie today! xx
Enjoying a cuppa in bed. Wiped out after going out stove shopping yesterday. Unsuccessfully too I might add!!
Everything was just annoying me last night - I couldn’t get comfy, didn’t like what was on TV etc etc. Aunt Flo must be due!Today DS is out at a party until around 1pm. I have a very long list to do. Has anyone seen @mumtooman@mumtoomany around? I hope she is okay.
Take care all xx7 -
Morning all,
Miserable looking start to the day, so I am tempted to have a sloth day. However, the green bin needs filling before Tuesday’s collection, so that looks like my plan for the morning, unless it rains.
Yesterday morning I dragged myself to the allotment, and actually had a productive couple of hours in autumn sunshine. Came home with some potatoes that I had missed first dig around, an armful of spinach, a couple of courgettes, and a cabbage. That’s the start of the meal plan for the week, then.Upstairs dusted and vacc’d, cs bag tidied from overflowing to sorted (DD had a sort out, again). I have just bossed DH to drop that off tomorrow when he is passing. He retired on Friday, so I don’t want him to think that he has nothing to do 😉.
DH is playing taxi this morning for some friends (see above comment 🤣), I need to get dressed and get started.
Second tea or coffee coming up for those needing it.7 -
Morning all xx
Second brew definitely needed here. No motivation whatsoever. However, I'm up, made my bed, and supped my first brew.
Forecast was rain all day and it isn't! I'll see if they have changed their minds altogether before I set towels / tea towels swishing.
Congratulations on the successful stove buying asb 😊
Glad to hear that the wedding was enjoyed by all ages piggers 😊
I need my second brew and food. I need food. Back soon

Pigpen sounds like the wedding was fantastic, glad you had a good time, can't wait to hear more about the puppy!
I am in bed with my book, a lazy day is planned here. DS and GF are staying and we had a lovely family meal out last night even though I struggled to eat much because my stomach is still suffering after the antibiotics. Think I need some of those probiotic drink things.
DS had said he would cook us all Sunday lunch but that was after a few pints and he is still tucked up in bed!
ASB we have been looking at stoves too but possibly an electric one because ours is only secondary heat when we are in the living room on an evening. They are not cheap!
I am with you Round and Fayolle a second brew is needed, but no food required here, if someone is putting the kettle on though...

Morning all. Pigpen that definitely sounds like a lively night!
Dailies to do and then the dreaded hallway skirtings. I'd best find something to watch on my phone and carry around with me!Married 40y.o. mum of an autistic 11y.o. Carer/SAHM.

Hello. Just having lunch so thought I'd give a quick update. Dailies, dog walk, hoovering done. Poppet has been bathed and I'm working on DGD2's party dress for her birthday next month. Third and final wash load in machine.Spend less now, work less later.9

Green bin filled - well, filled enough anyway. Salad bits picked from the garden. Picked a bunch of peach coloured dahlias that I didn’t even know were at the back of the garden. Need Narc0 to live nearer, as I just plonked them in a vase. Gh emptied of tomatoes and chillis and is looking very sorry for itself. Dead houseplants thrown out. I s&s’d the bathroom, but flicking the duster around downstairs has eluded me. However, I have sorted out the teaspoons (yes, I know, really random) and some are leaving the house. I’m nearly qualifying to return to the decluttering thread this weekend with all the flingage, but it moves too fast for me!Lunch next, then more kitchen detritus flingage.7
