That sounds exceedingly cosy EH! In fact, it's almost making me tempted to light the fire here... I've just settled onto the sofa in the study to do some job interview prep, I've got a blanket, and a hot water bottle, but I do tend to forget there's a (very small) open fire in here... That might be the very thing!7

Yes, I think you are right about that. I read about it once on a FB group where it was recommended for Osteoporosis. Think I tried one that didn't agree with me though and it really upset my IBS and basically went straight through me. Will have to look into it again as I'm sure I could do with somertandon27 said:I'm a huge fan of magnesium at bedtime! Calms all my limbs and prevents muscle spasms at night. On the nights that I forget to take it, I notice a more restless sleep! For easier digestibility, I recently switched from magnesium hydroxide to magnesium citrate. If I remember correctly there are 9 types of magnesium and they all absorbs slightly differently into the body!Making the debt go down and savings go up

Nothing wrong with a placebo effect if it does the job!

EH - I've been using The Body Shop's Sumptious Cleansing Butter for a few months now and found it very good. It's £12 for a 90gm tin and lasts ages. It's had excellent reviews as well. I also buy cheap white cotton face flannels to use with it as they seem to exfoliate quite nicely at the same time.EssexHebridean said:Nipped in to Al’s as I was out anyway - restocked on ladies supplies and as they had their hot cloth cleanser in stock I bought one of those to try as well. I’m approaching the end of my Cl1n1que cleansing balm and although I will be buying another of those if the Al’s one is as good as people say that might be good to alternate with the (much) more expensive one. Love the sound of your fire sounds very cosy. I'll make do with a heated blanket.
Really fancy lemon drizzle cake now although to be fair I had shop bought lemon cheesecake earlier with strawberries which was also delicious.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Magnesium generally has a loosening effect on bowels - but different mags are absorbed differently, so we'll worth having a womble online to check effects/ benefits. I take a high dose of mag for side effects of another med. I would say that I found it great at first for calf cramps- but its eeffectiveness has lessened with time.

Same here - hit before the cracked lips, tinnitus, breathlessness etc. Upping Vit C may help without having to take iron tabs as it improves absorption, and its considered best practice to try this first as it is less likely to cause issues (although excessive Vit C causes bowel issues too - my tolerance is 6g/day if taking supplements.greent said:Restless legs - consider iron levels. Interesting about the supplements etc. Never knew about the tinnitus and breathlessness....both of which I seem to get now....must investigate.
The hot cloth cleanser sounds interesting, as does the cleansing butter from BS, not shopped there for years as our nearest one is about 8 miles away and I never really go into that town anymore. Talking of BS, does anyone know if they still take old toiletries tubs/bottles etc for recycling, other than their own brand?Making the debt go down and savings go up
