Oh SA well mentioned - yes, there is a distinct increase in the daylight levels isn’t there, so welcome! Fjireland I do absolutely love that point when we get past the shortest day - I definitely struggle with lack of daylight.
it would appear that if today has been Brrrr then tomorrow will be Brrrrr’er, as it were. Best sort my favourite woolly hat and gloves out for tomorrow I think, looking at the forecast. You’re not wrong though PiP - Brrrr.Beanie I’m considering sticking towels out later in the week as we have a couple of days of decent sunshine forecast - however we also have some fairly low temperatures by the look of it so they may well freeze-dry! 😂🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

EH - OH & I have split opinions as to the Brr-ness of the day!
Before we left for my medical appt this afternoon, he warned me to bundle up as it was mighty chilly out. In true Canadian cold-weather style, I wore my heavyweight wool long coat and a warm thermal fluffy scarf & thermal gloves. By the time I got to the car, the gloves were off, by the time we got to pre-appointment tea & cake, the scarf was off & by the time we got to the appt, the coat was unbuttoned and belt tucked into the pockets. The thermostat in the car said it was 3' but I was hot & grumpy and OH got grumbled at. I think we've decided that I can handle cold and sunny but not warm and wet.
OH by contrast had on an undershirt, a long-sleeved shirt, a sweater and a thermal vest over top. He forgot his gloves and hat and by the time we arrived his fingers were turning blue from the cold and he was shivering and miserable. We've been home a couple of hours and he is only just warming up!

Cold here too but not drastically so.I have a bauble storage box and also a box that specifically fits rolls of wrapping paper - I bought it with points vouchers as I felt so silly spending on it, but it is actually brilliant as it gets the darn things out of the way tidily and fits under a bed!Debt free May 2016... another one looking forward to longer daylight hours. Must say our sky is looking quite "snowy" here today, although none forecast for this area, just very cold. When DH went back to work this morning at 7.30, it said 0 but feeling like -2. Luckily I'm not venturing out as still testing positive for covid (day 10 now) and feeling way to tired and exhausted to go anywhere anyway.Making the debt go down and savings go up

Happy New Year EH and friends.
It's definitely chillier here now (east central Scotland) and I'm not noticing longer days yet.
I remember as a teenager being at a friend's house and her Mum went to get a pair of jeans in from the washing line. It was so cold they were standing up in their own! We got a picture, although I don't know what ever happened to that.
I hope you're feeling better now EH.Mortgage at 12/07/2022 = £175,000

It snowed in central London today which never happens.. It didnt settle but I did see a few cars being driven with snow on! So brrrrr-erDON'T BUY STUFF (from Frugalwoods)
No seriously, just don’t buy things. 99% of our success with our savings rate is attributed to the fact that we don’t buy things... You can and should take advantage of discounts.... But at the end of the day, the only way to truly save money is to not buy stuff. Money doesn’t walk out of your wallet on its own accord.
