Boo to the cold spoiling your NYE plans but a wise decision I think. Could you rearrange for when you feel better? It will cheer up dreary January if nothing else. Hope you feel better soon.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)4

Hope you both recover quickly. It's disappointing to be ill on a break. Good call on not going and spreading it to your nearest and dearest / friends.
Well done on keeping the mortgage under control. I'm sure you will make light work of it.

Hope you are both feeling better.
my in-laws' parents were re-housed in Morden from Bermondsey when the Northern line first went out that far. A big estate of council houses was built at that time and they were able to chose which one they wanted. They chose a house with the biggest garden as they had never had a garden before. That garden gave them so much pleasure but my oh my it took a lot of looking after.5 -

Happy new year and hope you are both feeling better./ Most my family went down with this flu/sickness thing, ending up in bed for 2 days over xmas - luckily I escaped the worse. I am probably used to bugs going on the London tube a lot.
DON'T BUY STUFF (from Frugalwoods)
No seriously, just don’t buy things. 99% of our success with our savings rate is attributed to the fact that we don’t buy things... You can and should take advantage of discounts.... But at the end of the day, the only way to truly save money is to not buy stuff. Money doesn’t walk out of your wallet on its own accord.
