Ooh, well done! I think my recent payout took about 4 weeks...5

Glad you had a good birthday. I think the cash out takes around 4 weeks too. I'm nearly there as well."If you can dream it, you can do it". Walt Disney4

Yes, I think about 4 weeks is right for them on paying out - I'm sure that is their stated timescale too. I'm already back on it but getting screened out of a LOT of surveys on there at the moment. Not sure why they bother asking for all the demographic stuff and then offering me surveys that clearly I'm not a fit for!

I ran yesterday evening as planned and BOY WAS IT HOT! I got back to the office looking like a tomato, and it took a good few minutes, a fan, and a cloth rung out in cool water before I felt capable of even considering walking to the car! Still, felt good to have done it. The trick for tomorrow will be either to run at the same time as MrEH and I walk (I've done this before, by running on ahead, then running back to him for a walking section, and it works reasonably well.) or to go back out right after we have walked, but that might end up being more time consuming than I really want. either way I need to get my running kit on first thing as otherwise it just won't happen!
A bit of spendiness to report. I don't think I mentioned, but for his birthday one of MrEH's presents from his best pal was a copy of the River Cottage "smoking and curing" book, and a large bag of food grade salt for curing. He wasted no time in getting things underway with the acquisition of a piece of pork belly which is now in the process of being turned into bacon, and we both agreed that as we have said for years as soon as we had the space we wanted to try smoking (as in smoking food, not us smoking!) I have been casting around for a multi-function barbecue/smoker and found something that looked hopeful on the Big River site for £79.99, but with an added option of applying a £10 voucher to it. we also still had some credit left on the account from a voucher received after buying insurance last year, and so the purchase of the smoker has cost us £10.32, to date. There will be some other spends to consider - it will need a cover as it will have to live outside all year round I think (Although we may be able to get away with storing it in the office - we'll see) and of course there will be smoking supplies to purchase as well...we're thoroughly looking forward to giving it a go though, and already thinking about all the things we can potentially smoke!
MSE Stuff:
- 1st day of the month stuff has happened
- I have remembered to do the transfer to my small personal regular saver
- The mortgage now stands at £105,638.48 - with the usual beginning of the month OP to come and the end of month one too. That will then bring us to the end of our first year so I am looking forward to seeing where we stand 12 months in!
- I believe this month is the final full month of my NW1de reg saver, so we will need to consider where the contents of that goes once it pays out.
- Looks like the Octopods are being a bit slow with our usage figures this month - hopefully this doesn't mean that we have meter problems again. I will check tomorrow anyway as Friday is my standard meter reading day so I can feed back into our "Meters" app for our own records.
- WM went through last night and the washing was hung out until bedtime by which stage it had dried a bit. Decided against leaving it as rain was forecast overnight, although it never actually turned up so far as I know, so we could have got away with it. It will finish cheerfully enough on the airer in any case.
- This evening's food will be salad, to finish up the remaining baby potatoes, lettuce and leaves, and to make use of another HG Cucumber. I may swerve in to the C0-)p as we pass later for tomatoes, as our plants, while beginning to show signed of ripening, aren't really playing ball yet. I'll probably end up just opening a couple of tuns of tuna with that, unless there is anything YS'd in C0-0p that will work.
- checked the Lil's app to see that the free bakery item is back - hopefully this time featuring items we might be more interested in eating - and that there are good offers this week on tinned salmon, and on halloumi. I will need to check max items on both of those, as they are good enough offers that I will stock up. Must also re-stock noodles as I noted last night we were down to a single pack.
Spotted this morning that one of our 2 fitted sheets for our bed has gone through on MrEH's side, so we now need to factor in getting a replacement at the weekend. MrEH reminded me however that he still has the contents of an EmmandEss gift card he was given through work, so that will at least reduce the cost if we can find something suitable there, and we can't complain as both the sheets we currently have have done sterling service! If there is something decently priced and good quality then I may opt to puchase two as that is going to be of a similar age and use level - and that will extend the life of the remaining one anyway. Must remember to measure the mattress depth before we go too - it will be a treat to have sheets which actually fit properly rather than our current "only just" ones!🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

Nothing more annoying than a sheet that pings out! I recently got a deep fitted one from Tescos that seems to be able to stay in place.LTotal Debt Dec 07 £59875.83 Overdrafts £2900,New Debt Figure ZERO !!!!!!:j 08/06/2013

Ooh exciting on the food smoking. We did bacon years ago, and hot smoked salmon too. The trick with the salmon is to smoke it for a fairly short time. We used to get the whole one on the MrM offer - just got them to scale it.My mortgage free diary: https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6498069/whoops-here-comes-the-cheese

I'm most looking forward to smoked cheese I think - it will be lovely to be able to have that as it's not very easy to get. But yes to fish as well. Oh, and chicken - I adore smoked chicken but it is SO expensive to buy!
Spotted on the MSE site this morning that Pr1nc1pal1ty have a 6 month reg saver paying 8% so both MrEH and I have jumped on that. In the light of the interest rate drop this morning we thought we'd open it quick before they pulled it! I've worked out that we can initially fund it from the former solar savings account, and then the money from my NW one which pays out in September will deal with the rest of it.
Shopping list has been started, and I have also sourced what looks like a decent offer on fitted sheets from EmmandEss - they even do a nice looking duck egg blue colour which would go beautifully in our bedroom (and with our duvet covers) so I might end up with one of those and one of our more usual cream...🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

Which spf moisturiser is it if you don't mind saying? I'm after one with spf 30 but feels too daunting to research properly!5

Thank you for the info on Principality reg saver. I've just opened an account and found it remarkably easy to do. It will be a nice boost to coffers early next year.5
