I took advantage of their £100 fee waiver and opened an account. Then, I transferred my last year's holdings from HL to iWeb; this took just under seven working days.“Don't raise your voice, improve your argument." - Desmond Tutu
System 1 - 14 x 250W SunModule SW + Enphase ME215 microinverters (July 2015)
System 2 - 9.2 KWp + Enphase IQ7+ and IQ8AC (Feb 22 & Sep 24) + Givenergy AC Coupled inverter + 2 * 8.2KWh Battery (May 2022) + Mitsubishi 7.1 KW and 2* Daikin 2.5 KW A2A Heat Pump1 -
Funnily enough that's what I did and it took 7 days.
It was cash in HL which may have helped but I was stunned (in a good way) at how quick it was.2 -
@Aminatidi I hope HL rationalise their fees. Although their fees is capped at £45 when you hold shares and ETFs it's still not good enough.“Don't raise your voice, improve your argument." - Desmond Tutu

I also opened an account whilst it's free but I have no immediate plans to use it beyond sticking a tenner into it in the hope that it will not get closed by them. I'm likely to be reorganising a few investments next year and iWeb is one of the possible players..0

It seems fine. The website does feel a bit rough and ready even compared to HL. I made a payment of £20K and didn't get an email confirmation and couldn't see a single reference anywhere on the IWeb website which was a bit concerning but it showed up overnight.
I might take a different view if it wasn't clearly and obviously owned by Lloyds/Halifax.0 -
You may find that they return your tenner and close the account.boingy said:I also opened an account whilst it's free but I have no immediate plans to use it beyond sticking a tenner into it in the hope that it will not get closed by them. That's fine if they choose to do that. If not, then they might see more investment at some point. I have no strong opinion on using them but there is no way I'd ever shell out £100 just to open an account with them. They are not that special.GeoffTF said:
