Tks I'll study that. Not bad work for someone who's past their bedtimeTelegraph Sam

Yes it looks like it's possible to combine both Tracker and Agile with the Outgoing Fixed tariff. I suppose that the procedure is to apply to "change tariff" to the Outgoing Octopus Fixed on the website and hope that this doesn't affect my current Tracker import tariff. And sit back and wait for things to happen ..?Telegraph Sam

May I seek further advice on this complex question.
I initiated but did not complete the transfer procedures to Octopus Outgoing Fixed (combined with Tracker). During this the advice of my original installer was to think twice before jumping.
As I understand it Octopus is offering 15 p fixed in their tariff all inclusive.
The "gross weighted average" of my FIT payments from Scot Power - by this I mean the quotient resulting from dividing the total FIT payment by the number of generation units including the deemed 50% - this payment has been £0.228 up to end March 2023 and £0.259 thereafter. This is an increase of 73% over 15 p.
My understanding is that the elastic in the equation is the variance between the no of deemed 50 % units and the actual total exported units in practice. The price of generation and export deemed units is £0.2252 and £0.0679 respectively. My gut feel tells me that there would have to be such a ginormous increase in the no of actual units over deemed in order to outweigh the price differential as to be totally unrealistic.
Am I comparing apples with apples, and better off leaving things as they are?Telegraph Sam

I think that there may be another variation in which the user converts just the "deemed export" part of the equation to SEG but leaves the FIT "generation" element as is. And the converted part earns 5.4 p / exported kWh. This is however getting into murky waters and I am unsure of the facts.Telegraph Sam

Octopus said it was easier aka quicker to keep FIT generation with the existing supplier, but they will take it on too if you want.PPI success. Banding success. Double Dip PCN cancelled! South facing solar (Midlands) and battery. Savings Session supporter (is it worth it now!?)1 -
Tks for confirming that. As I said it seemed to me to be counter productive to move the "generation" part of my FIT to Octopus. But it is none too clear how to go about transferring just the "deemed export" part alone which may not be the default procedure. I have seen a ref to 5.4 p / kWh somewhere but ...where?Telegraph Sam

At one and the same time Octopus seem to be quoting 15 p, 5.4 p and 4.1 p credits per kWh for transferring from FIT to SEG / Outgoing Fixed depending on the interpretation and on which web page you happen to be looking at !Telegraph Sam

How does it work out if you leave FIT generation payment unchanged, and move export payments to metered at 15p/kWh?0
