There is no email sent regarding debit card transaction (see my email I posted yesterday), only one to inform you that the bond has been set up and that your have a secure message to read in your portal containing your transaction information. You probably will never get that one as the bond has already been set up and that email was sent to the misspelled email address and bounced. Is there nothing in your secure messages in the portal? Are they stating that you haven't funded it?worriednoob said:Afternoon, just a quick update - Contacted NS&I and although they've corrected my name, they are denying that any emails that I should have received are missing and also deny any data breach. But I've definitely not received an email showing my debit card payment/transaction. Not sure what else to do. The email showing the debit card transaction would be the only real written proof that I've made a large deposit.1 -
I did get an email for my debit card transaction. It had a reference number, my deposit amount and also the last four digits of my card.It also said that I may be asked to sign some physical papers pending checks and may need to send in ID, but I got an email soon after to say that I have successfully bought the bonds. That email had my surname on it.I am also an existing customer holding some premium bonds so not sure if entirely different to new customers.1

I funded mine from my direct saver so just got a single email to say my bond had been set up and that there was a secure message awaiting. I'm assuming the poster is concerned as their funds sound like they are still not showing on the portal and have no audit or record of the transaction.1

Your bank statement will show the deposit made. Mine says to a GIB even though it is a GGB.

I always get emails for my debit card deposits at NS&I. If you haven't seen any, may be they go into your spam folder? The confirmation email for @worriednoob probably bounced, and they wouldn't get another one just because their name and email address got changed. They should see the deposit online once they have online access.mebu60 said:

This is the email I got for my deposit into the newly opened GGB

Thanks guys. I appreciate what your saying @Swipe , but the reason you may not have got such an email is because you used a different method to fund your account. However, it seems that those who pay via debit cards, get an email with all the mentioned details - The example @friolento has posted is exactly what I'm on about. This is missing because when the DC payment was made, they had the wrong email address and they are denying that such an email was ever sent out.1

Nope, same as Swipe above, didn't get one of these for my debit card payment, just an "NS&I: we've opened your Guaranteed Growth Bond" email. Bond was showing immediately on my account.friolento said:

You have already verified that the erroneous email address doesn't exist and bounced when you emailed it so I'd wouldn't be concerned. Of course I'm assuming your money is now present and showing in your bond.worriednoob said:This is missing because when the DC payment was made, they had the wrong email address and they are denying that such an email was ever sent out.1 -
Unfortunately that's the issue - The money is still not showing in the bond account.Swipe said:
