All very well but - as you have already been asked twice - have you actually pointed out to Amazon that the identifier P161G is an alternative model number for the Dell Inspiron 14 7425 2-in-1, which is what you bought from them and what you returned to them? The different numbers do not represent different laptops.draigcoch3 said:I sent a copy of the information to London, tracked and signed for as usual.
It would seem sensible to provide as much relevant info to amazon now to persuade them (1) that the error is theirs and (2) that it's their reponsiblity to resolve the issue, rather than rushing into sending them Letters Before Claim and threatening to sue them...1 -
Yes I did point this out, enclosing relevant information.0

Good news. Amazon have admitted their mistake and I'm getting a refund and a bit extra. Thank you for your help. It was the info about model numbers I think that did it and perhaps my intention to sue. Thank you.9

Glad you got a sensible outcome1

Just to be a pedant, I'd argue that if Amazon provided the return label then Amazon have been the victim of a crime since the product is being transported at their risk.km1500 said:yes it apppears you have been the victim of a crime.
That being so, I can understand Amazon not refunding you0 -
There was no crime just a mistake in identifying the model numbers.4
