Thank you all for your hugs & kind wishes, I could feel every one of them 🥰
Sending hugs to all in need, & happy anniversary @apple_muncher .
Yesterday went better pupil wise. Had to tell a few colleagues not to be nice to me, as felt I was on the verge of being upset again. One woman often a ta very sympathetically, but is really just very nosey, so did leave her hanging. She messaged me at night to apologise for upsetting me.
Took mum shopping after work, treated us to a chippy tea, then headed to a friend's for Wool Club. Had a good catch up whilst she crocheted & I hooked my rug. Was shattered when I went home.
My eyes were sore after my late night. Tried to sleep again after waking DS1, but no luck. Did all the ironing & cleaned the porch, whilst DH did the bathroom. Went to town, dropped sewing off & collected more, went in the £1 emporium & got some solar fairy lights reduced, some for us, some for a sproutmas present, plus seeds reduced. Met my in-laws off the boat, & brought them all back to the house.
Shared a nice buffet lunch, gave them a tour of the garden & had a good chat. It's been 18 years since they were last at our house, & 9 since they were up to see f-i-l when DH's mum passed away. So lots of changes in the garden & with DSs. Dropped DS3 at work, after taking group photos, then zoomed back to town for them to catch the boat back. Popped in to mum, helped her change her bedding, then got a couple of bits from L1DL I'd missed yesterday.
After tea I did a big more of my rug. Just collected DS3 from work, he's done 6.25 hours this evening! He'll be looking forward to his pay packet next week!
Grateful for time spent with family & friends, a clearer living room, homemade quiche, a day to relax tomorrow

Small spend on lunch out with OH today. We went to see my share horse, I rode while he ran alongside, we always have good fun together.
My lunch was disappointing, asked for a veggie slice at the coffee shop and when I bit into it, it was filled with meat. As someone who hasn't eaten meat for the best part of 10 years I have to admit I felt quite nauseous which I wasn't expecting! It was pouring with rain by that point so we didn't go back to get a refund as we'd just made it home in time. OH ate the slice and I had some toast instead!
Haven't done much else other than empty the bins and give the aquarium some TLC just now. Already cooked dinner the other day when I did a bunch of batch cooking so just need to reheat shortly.9 -

A lovely day, starting with a lie in. Was woken by my cousin phoning to say my auntie was in hospital. He's in a different hospital 2 hours away, but his children were staying with their granny luckily, & phoned sn ambulance. He phoned me another 2 times with updates, so I could pass them on to my mum.
After breakfast, I rolled up the hosepipes, ready for winter, then strimmed all round the raised beds & back garden, then snipped some branches before dinner. I then cut out a sofa cushion cover & sewed it on my machine, just the hand sewing to do now.
Played a card game with DS1 after tea. He'd opened up to me earlier in the day, about feeling low, etc. Haven't played a game together for a while, so he said he'd enjoy playing one with me. Finished hand sewing the cushion cover I'd made last week, then went in the bath with my book.
Grateful for the twins being at my auntie's, updates from my cousin, fun with DS1, ticking things off my list & time in the garden, plus a message from a friend who works with DS3 saying what a hard worker he isUse it up, wear it out

Lost my post (possibly put it on the wrong thread). Letter got delivered, lots of leftover to eat, DW filled, rubbish/ recycling (inc floors and extra bags to tackle bad spots). Came upstairs when my legs and other bits started to complain. Lots of cross-stitch (slightly obsessed), bits of reading and watching.
Slept well, sorted pills (just had a text to say the pills I need are coming today so need to be downstairs by 10 am), pulled things out from between the mattress and the headboard which have given a shape to my day (easy food ideas using things from stores with missing bits from my last shop, outline simple tax return, form for returning non-barcoded stamps).
Grateful for modified cross-stitch, leftovers and stores, a simple plan (and no expectations of doing everything, just grateful for what I get done.4 -
Good Evening ⛅
Hey all. Struggling my way through another few very flat days - and spent most of today in bed. No amount of self talk could get me motivated today so I just gave in and had a doze. My brother rang and he cheered me up some. Hoping it will blow over by tomorrow and I'll be back out there.
Yesterday/Today I am grateful for:
1) Hot/cold running water
2) Streaming TV
3) My novels that help me escape somewhere else when life feels rubbish
Sunday was a spend day
Today = NSD number 6
Happy Monday everyone!!! x

Evening allMixed sort of day. Spent the morning helping / supporting a relative who isn't well atm.Came home and did loads of washing - ours and the relative's. Mostly dried outside which was an unexpected bonus give the unpredictable weather.Spent the rest of the afternoon sorting out the fridge and thinking up uses for various veg that we either grew or were given (we try to avoid food waste). Made mushroom risotto for dinner, and have a gamekeepers pie base - like shepherds pie only with venison - simmering on the stove. This will get topped with potato and celeriac mash, made with gifted potatoes and celeriac. Our neighbour bought a veg box and couldn't use all of the contents, so gave them to us. Some items were too far gone and went to DD's ducks, but some potatoes, half a celeriac, a small bunch of carrots and a cabbage were fine. But they do want using up asap!Nothing spent today, so I think I am on NSD 9.Shopping list done ready for shopping tomorrowGrateful for managing to sort out medical care for relative, who isn't usually very cooperative in such matters, or most matters, to be honest, for free veg and a good drying day6

Evening turtles
Frustrated today as had toget a new bath panel and even though we got the same one it doesn't fit properly.... sigh... these things are sent to test us!
Other than that it was my non-working day, I went to a yoga class by a local lake. Lovely experience even though we had to stay inside because of the rain.
Came home, did a couple of loads of washing, touched up some paint scuffs and then went to the gym for an hour or so. Had a shower and dyed my hair and now I'm ready for work! Got a very late finish tomorrow so making the most of the downtime.7 -
