No blood donated - woke up with sneezing that the anti-histi's didn't touch, so was worried I was coming down with something and cancelled my apt. Remade one for late next week instead.Went to the supermarket, which was full of students and their families stocking up before abandoning them in their halls. The place was getting stripped, then I spent 30 minutes trying to get off the car park. Horrific. Then I got home and saw I had forgotten milk.... grrrr! Will make do until tomorrow and go elsewhere on my way to volunteering. It was just not meant to be today.Came home and hoovered the living room and back room, broke the dining table back down to a 6 person (instead of an 8 person) table, and flat packed the extra chairs. Did laundry - used the dryer (meeep!) for the first time in a long time. Tested the heating as well, all but one radiator got hot and that will just need a WD 40 and a tap with the hammer to make the pin come back up - it has obv jammed over summer.Candles have been deployed. Nights are drawing in.4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!

Good Evening 🌒
Hi all. Really struggling to shake off this slump at the moment. Saw my ex (who is a good friend now) and we had a laugh which got me out and cheered me up. Bought him a coffee and cake as an early birthday treat. Been pretty much going between bed and the sofa which I know isn't great for me. Will do a thorough flat clean tomorrow and see if I can find the mojo I have lost dropped down the side of a cushion somewhere lol. On the upside I am now on Season 10 of Supernatural haha! Every cloud... ⛅
Yesterday/Today I am grateful for:
1) Friends old and new
2) The load of toasty bread I forgot I had bought!!!
3) Peace and quiet
Tuesday was a spend day
Today = NSD number 7
Have a nice evening folks! x

NSD#6
Started the day with some yoga, haven't done any for over a week, so my back was very stiff!
Work went fine for me, but really tough for others. Picked up sewing on my way home, then went for my monthly massage. Heard lots of pops, so it definitely did the job today 😃
Shortened 2 dresses after tea. My cousin phoned to update me on her mum. Was a nice surprise to receive the call, as we've only messaged for the past couple of years.
Had a long soak in the bath & read another chapter of my book.
Grateful for having a good day, surprise phonecalls, a massageUse it up, wear it out

Hugs abundant.
Cough and cold are ramping up, had to sleep sitting up. I've spilt water on the floor and the non-caffeine drink dripped all over the mattress when I went to get another toilet roll for my nose (good job the mattress clean was still pending). Feeling miserable and sorry for myself, various appointments off the agenda/ postponed until next week (blood results would be skewed and they won't do my flu jab) and family plans for Sunday will have to change (will meet them but no meal/ day out and will have to stay well away from baby bro).
Made it downstairs late yesterday, pulled things out of the WM and got most of them out/ on the line (the last 2 items were draped over the old walker at the bottom of the yard. Two sacks of paper went out, brought the green bin back, disposed of dead veg and handfuls of weeds, collected drinks and snacks (protein in the form of nuts with chilli and lime). one bin bag was tied up but left in the kitchen, another nearly full up here and lots to add when I get it down (could only carry the 2 paper sacks which kept getting kicked).
Okay a parcel just arrived and DS3 brought the requested 2 l of water back with him when he went down to answer the door. I won't start a new craft project but can sit here and imagine what I'm going to make. Going to have a wash, wrap up warm and see how the day goes.
Grateful for DS3 being helpful, new craft supplies (free cardboard tubes too), time to think, plan and dream, lots of books.

The large bed (Beloved's) broke again yesterday. They were thinking about getting a single to make more room but then saw a metal one. I don't have to pay for it so don't care (as long as they don't dump the old one in the yard).6

Sending healing vibes your way @grandmanerd.
Up & on the go early today, as had a drs appointment before work. She was a right space cadet! Se of the questions she was asking certainly made me wonder....
Work went ok, chatted with a teacher, then came home after collecting DH's prescription & a small spend in the shop.
Caught up on messages, then had just nodded off when my brother phoned. Couldn't sleep again afterwards.
Shortened 3 pairs of jeans after tea & did a tiny bit if my rug.
Grateful for the strikes going ahead next week, getting sewing done my auntie getting out of hospitalUse it up, wear it out

Good Afternoon ⛅
Thanks for hugs 🤗 grandmanerd- always appreciated - back at ya. Get well soon!
Quiet day yesterday watching the World go by. Mojo not yet found - but did manage to do all my laundry and clear pots. Had my Occupational Health appointment today - not entirely sure what has come from it as we seemed to keep going round in circles a bit. Will see what the report says when it arrives, then contact HR.
I am reflecting on some of this month's challenge and have decided I am rubbish at tightwaddery. I have helped 2 people out this month who were a bit short of cash (this is being filed under donate for this month). My expenses have been lower with not been at work so I can sort of balance it out. I don't want them to just see me as a convenient ATM though or perpetuate their poor money management skills however. I haven't talked about my girth (phnarr phnarr!) this month - but realised that I still pander to my wants still instead of focussing on what I really need. So my girth is definitely not tightly controlled and efficient but slightly wobbly and all over the place haha!!! There have been a few impulsive buys too (e.g buying a take away when I have food in the fridge) that need to be monitored. My habits have gone off the boil as has tracking - will revisit today. I'm trying to not be too hard on myself as I do feel pretty flat most days - but also need to not let bad spending habits become the norm again.
Yesterday/Today I am grateful for:
1) The first coffee of the morning
2) My little apartment
3) Peace and quiet
Thursday = NSD number 8
Today = spend day
Have a nice Friday everyone xx

NSD 14 today. Every penny is being squeezed for the roof fund (still no start date, still no scaffold). Less than £1000 short now.DH is in saboteur mode. I can recognise it now. Teaching term is about to start, the school meetings have begun (sorry! we have no funds, get on with it, we can't even give you a pen!) so he is already stressed out and demotivated before meeting this year's students.So, in conflict avoidance mode, I have been tidying. I have about 2m square left of boxes to sort through and dispose of.4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!
