Good morning all xx
I had a lovely evening with DS and F. Card, presents, pizza and a movie: Guardians of the Galaxy 3......my choice. Maybe I should have started with GotG 1 🤔🤣 because I was totally lost to begin with, but got the gist eventually and thoroughly enjoyed it. Except for one bit where I grabbed DS's hand and wanted to cry. Drove home in the dark. Reminded me how much I now detest driving in the dark! But good practice for driving home from work over the winter.
Going to H's for coffee and a catch up this afternoon. And on my way home I plan to pick up my prescription and fill up with petrol.
As usual I need a second brew and breakfast before I do anything else. My bed is made. And I'll be back soon with a To Do Today List.
Have a good day

Good morning,
Misty morning out, so autumn is truly here 😊.
Big plans for today. Well, big flying plans, until the spanner that is DH is put into the works, invariably happens. He has been packed off to the allotment (more plums…hopefully the last), wm is on as the day is supposed to be bright later, and I need to start cleaning the bathroom which I intended to do yesterday but got sidetracked. By plums. Other jobs are to sort out the fridge / freezer, meal plan, another load for the wm, tackle the ironing pile, and maybe get started on the dress that I need to make for a wedding latr this month. Oh yes, and the garden needs some tlc. Dinner will be in the sc again, so need to sort that.
Car insurance renewal has come through at double the cost!! So much for going for an easy straight renew this year.Oops, wm has just finished. Need to get that on the line and next lot in.
Have a lovely day all x8 -
Good morning all, I'm still here!
Not much flying being done, why? you ask. Life gets in the way! The problem with having no money, is everything takes too long. An example. " Can you just give me a hand putting the tedder on the tractor?" asks dadtoomany. (the back field was cut for hay last night, the tedder will turn the grass so it dries evenly) Five minute job, or should be. First we need to put air in the tyres, move compressor, fill tyre, POP! inner tube has burst! It's Sunday, nowhere open. Need to find two jacks to remove the wheel. Removed the wheel from a wheelbarrow. Swapped the inner tube, only to find the wall of the tyre has a big gash in it too. Removed inner tube again, removed tyre, replace both with ones from the wheel barrow. Put wheel back on tedder. Blow up tractor tyres. Need to move tractor forward, to connect tedder. Battery is flat. put it on charge and go for a cup of tea. Still won't start. Try two other batteries, from two campers, neither will start it. Try connecting both together with jump leads, no joy. Dadtoomany is now going to neighbours to borrow a battery, till we can get a new one tomorrow. We are two hours into a five minute job and have so far achieved nothing! The joys of trying to work with ancient equipment. The tractor is around 65 years old, the tedder spent 20+ years lying in a field before we got it.
I will be back again next week, flying. Hopefully now autumn is here, the farming year will start to slow down again.
Hugs to all that need/want them. Happy Birthday to round. 63 that's the same age my birth certificate thinks i am, but it's only on the outside. Inside I'm still in my thirties. Mumtoomany.xxxFrugal Living Challenge 2025.8 -
Same here @mumtoomany 😊 Who is that grey haired person in the mirror - not me!
I was sidetracked by someone mentioning car insurance renewal (looks accusingly at Fayolle .... who knows I don't mean anything by it 😊). First locate password for car insurance documents portal, next check renewal price. Pick myself up from the floor. Compare with other insurers - oh that looks better ... ah but then you have to add on this that and the other to get an accurate comparison. Hmmmm. Further research needed but currently may as well renew with current provider- which is also easier on the nerves / less hassle. I am somewhat allergic to hassle.
I'm dressed. I've put out the recycling and fed the birds. I really must WUDUPA. In fact I'll put the pots to soak now while I'm thinking about it. If I WULTD it's better than nothing.
Hugs

Oh @mumtoomany I hear you, loud and clear. Thank you for your PM, all sorted, should have tagged them when they were born, that’s four hours of my life I’ll never get back and several bruises to boot (tagging lambs for those who wonder!)
Three KG of runner beans dealt with. Cucumber, tomatoes, broccoli and flowers picked. Bath washed out after I had one. BIG appointment for DD tomorrow, at the BIG hospital, vibes appreciated. Or a spare Ulna nerve that works 🥺🥺
Love to all xx11 -
House vacuumed, bedroom dusted. Bathroom cleaned. Fridge sorted, another carrier bag of plums to deal with. I’m sure that there was more. Oh yes, ironing pile defeated. Insurance renewal to be tasked to Round, as she is so much better at it than I am. I will procrastinate, as it will involve a phone call.Lots of vibes to ASB and her lovely girl for tomorrow xx9
