Flooring people are coming next week for upstairs as well, I'm considering some kind of manufactured wood for the central mezzanine corridor rather than carpet or LTV etc.

I'd agree that a real wood surface is the ultimate. And being upstairs will mean it should have little wear, so less maintenance required - low footfall, and bare feet or slippers.
I presume that's 'engineered' timber, so a real wood layer to touch and look at, on a ply or similar backing and core - very stable.
That pic doesn't really show what it could look like, tho'. The herringbone scale is waay too big, and are these boards unfinished? What timber is it?

Fire and flue is now installed, builders can now get on with boarding the ensuite bathroom, tilers have started on the ground floor bathroom, and we have a completion date for end of June :)

That's some entrance hall. How much of that will remain 'hall' when finished?
The tiler has used up roughly 50sq meter worth of tiles for the hall space......

We are inching close to the finish line, asking the chippies to do additional work has slowed things, but getting proper 'bespoke' wardrobes built at this stage is much cheaper than doing it aftwards.

Quite a few rooms are now 'done' pending carpeting, and bathrooms are getting there. Even started to buy some furniture, also really happy with the wooden flooring upstairs for the mezzanine corridor, other flooring would have been much cheaper but the wood gives a lovely contrast to the darker banister.

A few more weeks of work and we'll be finally done  :).

It all looks lovely but I've got to ask whats going on with those white tiles in the green bathroom?  Did you know they wouldnt line up with the Green ones when you chose them?

If you wish to 'debate' with SWMBO on tiles choices.....I wish you luck:).

Personally I really like the title choices in bathrooms, but picking which projector to buy/sorting out audio solutions for the various rooms is much more my thing.

Maybe, just once, someone will call me 'Sir' without adding, 'You're making a scene.'

Outside rendering is now done, as are the bathrooms, did some washing up in the kitchen  and cannot complain about the view :)

The end is so close now, itching to get in.
