What's the Grand Design 'treat' you are talking about? Is it your door choice? Anticipating summat special now...
Given the outdoor demolition was a summerhouse I'd guess the answer is 'garden room'?

That looks massive. I can almost smell the lovely aroma of new wood from here.
    Did you win the lottery?

Loads of work progressing at the house now, we have paint, boiler, bits of the kitchen, and stairs (sort off). Sparkies start in earnest next week, still need to sort out a new flue for the fire place, and leveling/tilling the rest of the ground floor is the next main tasks.

    It's all 'wow'.

Although I have a Hive, and like its interface, I understand it isn't the most sophisticated of controllers, not having Opentherm or similar to garner every last %-age of efficiency from a modern system. What heating source do you have?

Flooring downstairs is now nearly done, next week will hopefully see the last 'big' building job done, installing of the fireplace/flue which has run from the living room, through the ensuite, do a bend to avoid the roof lights and come out of the roof.

Flooring people are coming next week for upstairs as well, I'm considering some kind of manufactured wood for the central mezzanine corridor rather than carpet or LTV etc.

That's some entrance hall. How much of that will remain 'hall' when finished?
Upstairs - is it usual these days for p'board joins to not have noggins?
    (Ok, I'll ask - what's the wooden box?! :-). )

    That's a dream home, tobesuretobesure.
