I'm going away after today so hoping it'll arrive today.
Thanks everyone for your help. Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

Finally got an acknowledgment, at the second time of sending. Thanks everyone for guiding me in this. I’ll return to the Sticky to see what happens next.2

Ok, so got a letter back today from dcb legal saying that their client intends to proceed with the claim.
They also say The Court will direct both parties to file directions questionnaires in due course. In anticipation of this we are enclosing a copy.
The letter continues to say that Without Prejudice to the above, in order to assist the court in achieving its overriding objective, our Client maybe prepared to settle the case. Therefore in the event you wish to discuss settlement, please call us on 0203 xxx xxxx within 7 days.
The Directions questionnaire has the box checked saying that we agree to the case being referred to the small claims mediation Court and also that we agree that the small claims track is the appropriate track for the case.
The hearing venue will be at the Claimants home court. It also has the box checked saying that we are not asking the courts permission to use the the written evidence of an expert.
So what should my next step be? Perhaps give them a ring as they suggest?
Thanks in advance for any advice. It's much appreciated.0 -
Your questions will have been answered in the NEWBIE sticky and also in the 12-steps in the template defence thread, which hopefully you have been following.1

Why do some people find it so difficult to follow the advice, especially the very useful 12-point checklist? Is it not clear enough? Is it too complicated for the average person to understand?3 -
Please:
Just re-read what you've clearly forgotten you read in the Template Defence thread.
There in the first post I list the first 12 steps to stop people thinking what they've received is something new and different. It's not.
Of course victims don't PHONE them! Please stick with the forum advice and be better prepared. It's like taking candy from a baby to defend a stupid DCBLegal claim, but only if you read our advice and follow it.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

I'm filling out theN180 form online. I'm following bargepoles "what happens when" post, but I can't see any mention about part D, "suitability for determination without a hearing". Do I tick "yes"?
Also at the start of the N180 form I presume I put my name in the "To be completed by, or on behalf of" (I know it's probably obvious, but just want to check) also what do I put in the "in the" box which is next to the claim no. box?
I have not yet received the Directions Questionnaire from the CCBC, but in point 8 of the 12 first steps it says wait for my own form or download it. So I'm doing it now, is this ok, or should I wait to receive one?
Many thanks.
*update* Looking at the Directions Questionnaires copy dcblegal have sent in anticipation, they have put Civil National Business Centre in the "in the" box so presume I put the same?
Their copy also doesn't seem to have the D(1) "suitability for determination without a hearing" question, which my online form has?0 -

Is it really too difficult to understand which bit you need to circle and whose name goes in that box? Have a look at the copy the claimant sent you of theirs and please look at what they have entered. That should give you an idea what should be going in yours."who is [1st][2nd][3rd][ ][Claimant][Defendant][Part 20 claimant] in this claim" is the big clue.
What do you think your "claim number" is? Go have another look at the claim form you received.
You should not send the N180 DQ until your MCOL says that you have been sent one. No harm in completing it for now but don't send it too early.
You really need to be using a bit of initiative as you cannot be hand-held the whole way
