I’m sorry, I didn’t realise that wasn’t how it’s done here. Other places on the internet prefer updates to go at the top of the first post.

All I did was add the bit under update - that I have a court date in a couple of months and want advice on the witness statement.

This is a simple stage.It's your story & evidence.  
Take a look at the recent Witness Statements by:-

There are TWO trade bodies (the BPA and IPC) so don't copy stuff about the wrong Code of Practice. The above examples give you a nice mix and some talk about the BPA Code and some about the IPC.

Simply read the exemplars given, which can be used as examples of style and format, pick one that suits the trade body associated with your issue and adjust the specifics of the WS to suit your defence.  The WS backs up, with evidence, what you wrote in the defence.

All the stuff about signs. I don’t understand why it’s relevant. Also where it says most magistrates are aware of the scam, I was told informally by one that the tickets are valid and the best possible outcome in court is to pay £1 a month and I should try mediation. 

Also, how do I know which the trade body is?

it probably is all explained properly but my stress levels are high because of lots of things right now and I’m struggling with keeping on top of paperwork and I don’t know where to find things.
