If the tools you found are wood working, g00gly something like 'old wood working tools' and that will bring up a fair few sites which sell such items and might give you an idea of prices? When I lived in North Londinium, one of my fave shops sold old wood working tools exclusively. Probs long gone by now though….

Thanks @teapot2, appreciate that. Do let me know on here or DM where shop was so I can check if its still a going concern! Would love to just hand over the wee pile to someone who knows what is what and get a few minor quid to take off the build debt and know these bits will be appropriately allocated, they're so lovely

Morning PIP, I've consulted my overheated brain cell plus G00gle maps and think the woodworking tools shop was in Cross Street which runs between Essex Road and Upper Street. Don't know if thats in your North London neck of the woods? Suspect it won't be there now as was a good while ago but maybe other similar B&M shops exist or maybe its all online these days? Hope you can find a home for them along with something towards the build funds.

There are a few websites that buy them too, I suspect location has a lot to do with worth etc.

Cheers @teapot2 and @redofromstart really appreciate the input

33/34 degrees today, I have been mostly wearing underwear

    Usuals
Steps dropping off a gumtree sale, found a pile of clothes
    Receipt survey
Tedious task of taking pics for vinted

Bribed myself with pub garden to do vinted listings, overheard some guys talking about tools so asked them about carpentry prices and one is coming over tomorrow to have a look and maybe buy 🍻
Did my vinted listings and a very long badly paying boring survey, definitely earned the beer

Tomorrow being 25 degrees is going to feel so chilly 😂

Worth trying vintage markets too. I've seen a stall selling on our local market which clearly specialised in old woodworking tools & vintage interior bits & bobs such as handles, fire irons, etc.

2026's challenges: 1) To rebuild our Emergency Fund to at least £5k.
    2) To read 50 books (12/50) 3) The Re-Shrinking of Foxgloves 8.1kg/30kg
Remember....if you have to put it on a credit card, extend your overdraft or take out a loan to buy whatever it is, you probably can't afford it, as that's not your money, it's somebody else's!

    Thanks @foxgloves, good thinking

Cheers @KajiKita they seemed lovely chaps so I'll trust his professional judgement, happy for him to have a bargain if it means beautiful pieces go to a home where they'll be appreciated, and I don't have to put in days of researching/listing/dealing with online randoms! Outfit sounds fabulous darling
